Our baby boy is consistently around 140 bpm for us on the home doppler and when checked at my monthly doctor appointments. Usually it's in the 137-142 range.
I think every baby could be different, depending on the baby, conditions (active or sleeping), etc.
That sounds about right. My girl has been between 135 and 160 in the checks over the last two weeks. It slows a bit as you get farther along. She was always in the 160s in the first trimester so the first reading in the 140s freaked me out. My nurse assured me it was perfectly normal to see the heart rate slow a bit as the second trimester goes on.

thanks everyone your replies have put my mind at rest as we didnt use home dopler with ds and have never asked the midwife what her reading were or what was normal. just knew she was happy with readings
