I use the avent natural. We tried a bunch of different ones because my little girl sucks the bottle down really quickly and gets ahead of herself and the avent ones seemed to work the best. Not all slow flow nipples are created equally, that's for sure.
We started out with Dr. Brown's, but LO would still choke about once a feeding (breastmilk). Since we've switched to Playtex VentAires, there's a lot less choking. We do switch b/w the Dr. Brown's and the Playtex nipples (both kinds are the lowest flow).
We are using Tommee Tippee right now. I also have a set of Avent Naturals, although I'm waiting to use them because the nipple flow is a little too fast.
We use Medela since they fit my pump and I EP. We also have some Tommy Tippee those were difficult for him in the beginning bc the nipple is so large, but now he can use either and doesn't seem to have a preference.
We started with the Tippie Toms but switched quickly to Dr. Browns -so much easier on the babys tummy and helps with gas! Plus the nipples arent too big for new borns so they dont swallow too much too quickly
I mostly EBF but have used avent natural bottles twice when we left LO with grandma and she took to them right away and haven't had any issues with nipple confusion.
DS (now 14 months) did fine with the generic Parent's Choice ones. No problems. DD (3 months) is a whole different story. She had a lot of problems spitting up (large quantities), so we switched to Dr. Brown's and they work great. Like others have mentioned, they're annoying to wash with all their parts, but it's worth it for her not to spit up.
Moral of the story, each child is different, even siblings.
We use the Avent Naturals and Como Tomos. My favorite are definitely the Como Tomos but they are spendy! We hated the Tommee Tippees. Even the slow flow nipple was too fast and drippy.
I ebf and we tried Tommee Tippee but felt that the slowest nipple was still too fast (however, dd may prefer it when she's a little bit older). We made the switch to Dr. Brown's but bought preemie nipples separately based on the recommendation from other breast feeding moms and that has helped us incredibly! I agree with the pp that it's better to register for single bottles of a few popular brands listed to see what works best.
With DS1 we used Dr. Brown's due to reflux. They worked but were a PITA to clean.
With DS2 we plan to use Tommee Tippee. We have given one bottle as a test run and DS2 took it well. We also have a Similac and an Avent bottle to test out in case Tommee Tippee don't work.
I rec waiting until baby is born. We went through SO many and she ended up hating the one I registered for and had 8+ of (dr browns). We are now successfully using Lansinoh mOmma for our EBF baby.
We're using the glass Dr. Browns and Born Free bottles. Right now I like the Dr. Brown's better for two reasons: 1) the nipple isn't as flimsy and 2) it seems like DD gets a better "grip" on the nipple. Overall though I like both.
I love my Dr Brown's bottles. I just rinse and soak each bottle in a container or bowl with hot water and dawn dish soap. Then I use the dr browns brush to clean again then rinse. It's easier than it seems. Soaking in Dawn and hot water makes it very easy!
Started with Tommee Tippee and hated them. Came out too fast and she was a gassy mess. Using Dr. Browns exclusively and LOVE them. Not as big of a deal to clean as everyone says. Soak them then use the brush they provide.
I would register for 1-2 bottles of a couple different types. Some babies don't give two craps about what nipple you shove in their mouth and some get really particular. Since nipples aren't all that interchangeable you'll have to try a couple different bottles. I highly recommend you avoid bottles that are really wide or unusually shaped since they won't fit in dishwasher baskets/diaper bag nooks/babies hands when they want to hold the bottle.
I used Medela (exclusively pumped) until 8 weeks, loved them while he was getting breastmilk and combo breastmilk and formula. Once he got formula exclusively we switched to Dr Browns wideneck and they're working well to cut back on the gas and spit up. I have 6, I alternate hand washing and using the dishwasher with them. They're not much more of a pain to wash than regular bottles, unless you have to scrub every nook and cranny, then you might go insane. I just rinse really well after every feeding and use the included brush that looks like a pipe cleaner.
I wouldn't go too crazy when registering for bottles. I heard great things on the Avent bottles and registered for a bunch of all different sizes. I EBF, but planned on using the bottle for occasional feedings and when I go back to work next week. We introduced the bottle at 4 weeks and he did fine with it up until about a week or two ago (8/9 weeks old). He now will not take the bottle at all, so I am trying out different nipples/bottles that he will take. Just because the baby likes them at first...doesn't mean they will once they get a little older. I would suggest registering for several different types and then once you have a for sure favorite, then buy more.

I registered for single packs of each one I liked. My plan was to open one at a time (starting with the one I liked most) until LO liked one. Then exchange the rest for more of the ones LO liked. But he loved the medela ones we were given in the hospital and I have a medela pump so they hook right up. I exchanged them all and got more medelas.
I would say get a few of your top choices, try them out, see which ones you like best, and then get a bunch of those. We like Dr. Browns and Playtex Vent Aire. But if I had to choose, i would go with Dr Browns even though all the parts are a PITA to clean.
Re: Please recommend your bottle
With DS2 we are using Tommee Tippee. Love them!
