Help - Sick and don't know what to take while BFing

Hi Ladies - Can I take standard cold medicine while BFing? MH and G have been sick for the past week and now I finally have it. Tired, headache, soar throat, runny nose. I haven't been sick since she was born so I am totally unsure of what is okay and calling me doc is just a PIA esp on a Friday b/c he's not in the office. Thanks.

I have just used ibuprofen generally and avoided most cold meds out of fear that they can dry up your supply. But no idea if that is a well founded fear. Hope you feel better soon!
