All this toy box talk has got me thinking... So I'm about ready to convert my living room/family room into a play space for my LO and my SIL gave me the side eye saying that our house looks like a daycare and we should convert our finished basement into a playroom for O. Right now the basement is a gym/guest room but there is no bathroom down there and I hate the thought of having to hide in the basement all day when we're home with O just to have our house look presentable when the rare guest comes over.
I guess my question is where do you camp out with your kids and do you mind your house being taken over with toys or do you have a designated play space?

I don't have a ton of toys in either kids' rooms. Maybe when they get older?
