My MIL just passed. DH is driving to the nursing home. I am here with Nancy. Well so much for Christmas wishes. Nancy will never know/remember she had a grandmother who loved her. Going to be a long couple of days I think.

I'm so sorry for you and @micabush. We lost my FIL a few years ago and it's been hard for my husband because he doesn't really like to talk about him. (You know men and emotion) But of course he wants the kids to know who he was. I hope you can find some comfort.

Thank you everyone! We hoped for a little more time. Since my Mom passed 10 years ago. I guess we were just being selfish. My MIL was a wonderful woman who was handed a horrible card and now she is at peace. I do appreciate all the kind words. You are all awesome!

I'm so sorry, huge hugs and I hope you find strength to help you in the days to come. Like everyone has said, Nancy will know her grandma through you. I like to think my husband is honoring his father in the way he is raising our son.
