So to preface, in my before preggo life I lifted heavy 5 times a week in a body part split lifting routine so lifting heavy has never been an issue and indeed I love it. Until I got pregnant. Now I have seen the Crossfit article, etc but I am a high risk pregnancy due to Lupus/hypo so I cut down on lifting to 3 days at most total body and high rep/low weight. And recently I've barely been able to do that as we've been in moving limbo and on a honeymoon.
So I just got a new job that I thought was for a produce and meat buyer for a coop. No mention of heavy lifting. Well turns out I am also a stocker as we only have one person in the department at a time on shift. So we get large shipments of several 50+ lb boxes and bags I have to lift from the ground to several shelves higher. So far during non-shipment days in fine as taking half empty boxes or bags down to a cart isn't too bad. But today we got a huge order in and I was starting to freak out mentally at what lifting that many could do and listened to peanut on the doppler as soon as I got home. I've always heard 30# or less- has anyone heard anything to support or refute that? My boss doesn't know yet but I am telling him Sunday when he gets back and I am hoping to work something out- I don't want to get fired but neither do I want to risk the babies health.
