How do you feel about Mary (vs. Marie) as a mn?

I think that because of the popuularity of Marie as a mn (especially for 80s kids like me), the cadence of "{first name} Mary" sounds weird to people. I personally think Mary is a beautiful and underused name. What are your thoughts on Mary as a mn, especially in terms of cadence/flow?

I like Mary and Marie. It really just depends on the first name for me as to what sounds better as a middle name.

I like Mary and I had Fiona Mary on my list. Maybe not the most ideal flow, but I loved it.

Do either have any significance to you? I'm more about meaningful MNs than filler, "what sounds better?", type MNs.

It depends on the name for me, but I generally prefer Mary. I know SO MANY middle name Marie's. I know this is not the case with everyone, but it's started to seem like it's just slapped on a as MN because it tends to go with almost anything... like there's not as much thought behind it for me.

Plus I think Mary sounds a lot prettier.

I love Mary in the middle name spot. Three of my similarly aged girlfriends (and fellow 80s babies) have Mary as a MN.

As far as flow is concened, I think it depends on the FN.
