Post-partum wraps... recommend yours!

I never used one with my older DS but recently some ladies on my birth month board for this LO were talking about how wonderful they were with getting back to their pre-pregnancy size quicker.

I've heard the belly bandit mentioned. What did/do you use and what did it do that you liked?

Thanks Ladies!!!

Re: Post-partum wraps... recommend yours!

  • I used one similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Gabrialla-Breathable-Elastic-Abdominal-Binder/dp/B000WFT3II/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1386777425&sr=8-4&keywords=post+partum+wrap

I didn't wear it 24/7 but it did seem to help. I'm not in pre-pregnancy pants yet, but I wasn't expecting it to happen quickly- I like my cake and cookies lol.

It really helped my core feel more secure right after birth- I wasn't expecting to feel so weak. It also kind of sucked things in like spanx so everything didn't jiggle when I moved.

  • My friend had a belly bandit and she didn't like it. I also read not great reviews about it. I got a wrap from Winks Shapewear. It's eye and hook which os kind of a pain, but I really like it. I don't think it's actually helped shrink me, but it definitely hides the muffin top and sucks everything in!

  • I got a couple wraps (including the belly bandit) but they were uncomfortable and I was already in pain from a difficult birth so I gave up on them.  It's 3 1/2 months later, I still have 5 lbs to lose, but I fit in my pre-pregnancy size 8 pants so I'm not sure they're necessary.

  • I had the squeem. I liked it and it really helped. You an order online but I went to a dress shop to get one. It's really tight and it really helped.

  • I got a simple $5 wrap at Walmart. It's by golds gym in the fitness section in sporting goods. It was very comfortable, and cheap. After the first day (3 days pp) my baby belly had shrunk considerably. After the second day, I could fit back into regular jeans. I wore it for 2 weeks, tops. It was the best $5 I've ever spent.
