time in between

So, the little man is now 7 months. I can't believe we have made it this far! It's been a crazy year. The house is coming along (slowly, but still being worked on). 

This is our first baby, and for me, I would like there to be a second baby.  I would like to wait until Jr is at least 2 before we try again.  Hopefully by then the house will be more in order (besides toys being spread out all over).  My trouble is, my husband doesn't seem completely on board with the idea. He said talk to him in 2 years, which i guess is understandable. It's be a little tough for him and our son.  He is a bit of a momma's boy and doesn't always stay happy when it's just him and daddy. which frustrates my husband as well as me (since it leaves me no mommy time).

What would you do? How much time would/have some of you waited until baby #2 and how would you talk to your husband about it when you feel you are ready?

    My first 2 are 17 months apart. I am aiming for 2-2.5yrs between #2&#3. Are you ready now? I would just drop the subject for 6 months or so. Babies change so much and that baby fever could hit your hubby overnight. 6-12 months from now your LO might be easier to handle making your husband more ready.

    I don't think I am presonally ready right now since I do work full time monday - friday and so does he.  I try and avoid the subject, but when everyone around us is asking when #2 is coming along, it makes it tough.  I would like a second, since we made such a handsome first, in hopes of a girl, but would be happy with either.

    thank you both for the advice! I can only hope that as he becomes more active and realizes he will have more in common with daddy that they will bond and give me a lil more mommy time. Then we can re-vist baby #2 discussion.

    I cannot imagine another one anytime soon. I'm training for a 10km run right now and run it in Oct 2014, so maybe after that we will TTC. Our DD will be 2 and a little bit when #2 would be born. We also don't have enough room to have another until our basement is finished.

    In regards to your husbands feelings. I completely can relate to them as I am in his shoes. My DH wants to TTC now and I am relived that he is ok with waiting until I do my run. I know I want 2 kids but I just am having trouble wrapping my head around the concept of another baby.

    We have the same problem as far as C preferring me. It's very obvious and hurts my husband's feelings. He doesn't want a lot to do with him except for short periods of time:( I'm hoping both of our boys start bonding with their dads as they get a bit older.
