Does anyone else's LO have what seems to be a Christmas hangover? We had a wonderful Christmas, but it was three days of non stop action and being off of her routines. I tried really hard to make sure she wasn't too over stimulated, but sometimes I just couldn't avoid it. Last night she wouldn't go to sleep and stay asleep and today has been awful. I don't think she feels good and she's exhausted. We've been doing a lot of snuggling and quiet time. I had no idea as a FTM the havoc that holidays played on babies. Yikes!
Sorry, I guess this turned into a little bit of a dear diary post.

"If you're still my small babe
or you're all the way grown,
my promise to you
is you're never alone.
You are my angel, my darling,
my star...and my love will find you,
wherever you are."
To top it off he got his shots in the midst of all this.
She's exhausted and grumpy. Worst of all, she smells like old lady perfume and Indian food. I will be waiting until tomorrow to give her a bath though. She couldn't deal with one today.
And we didn't do too much yesterday, but I'm guessing the whole kitchen incident is to blame.
It's been 6 fun filled days of screaming, fussy, tired, overstimulated baby (and mom for that matter). Only 8 more fun filled days to go!
I don't blame him though- yesterday was overwhelming and he only took 2- 20 minute naps. And I can't say I don't mind all the napping snuggles
Christmas Eve LO was awake and smiling for close to 3 hours before finally reaching the tip of the iceberg and having a total meltdown. It was at this point MIL threw a foot stomping little hissy-fit about how he's such a mamas boy and only mommy can calm him down. Yes woman, I was totally hoping he'd scream for over an hour so I could miss having dinner and spending time with the rest of the family while attempting to soothe him.
I love where I live but DH did mention how it would be kinda nice to live out of state away from the family and I wouldn't have made a peep if he had just kept on driving past our house to Canada.
