  • 19 weeks here also and thought maybe I've felt something once or twice but it was so faint, I can't say for sure. I'm patiently waiting as well!
  • With my first I had an anterior placenta and I didn't feel flutters until 24 weeks and no real kicks or movement DH could feel from the outside until 30ish weeks. I know it's a bummer :( hang in there, you'll be able to feel soon!!!

This.  I've felt a little something here and there so far... no flutters though.

  • I have felt flutters off and on for a couple of weeks, but nothing consistent. I have an anterior placenta as well.

  • I'm 20 weeks tomorrow with an anterior placenta too. I also haven't felt baby yet. Gas bubbles that could maybe, possibly have been baby....but I have no idea.

  • This is the second pregnancy with a an anterior placenta...the first one I only felt flutters starting at 20+ weeks.

This pregnancy, I have been feeling definite flutters on and off for a few weeks (I am 19.5 weeks), but apparently this kid is a bruiser because the sonogram chick said she was surprised I felt them with the placement of the placenta.

  • Same here...19 weeks and have MAYBE felt flutters. The tech at my A/S scan today was surprised I couldn't feel all the kicks he was giving me. Hopefully soon!!

  • I just had my a/s on Tuesday. I had only felt occasional flutters and ask the tech if I had an anterior placenta. She said its "posterior and far from the cervix". So I am thinking it has more to due with the extra weight I am carrying. Hopefully the kicks will be felt soon!

  • Ill be 19 weeks on Monday. Had some
infrequent fluttering but nothing crazy or consistent. I always took it as gas but OB said its more than likely baby flipping around. I'm still waiting for that definite first KICK.
  • I haven't felt anything either. I don't know where my placenta is, at 12 weeks it was at the bottom.

  • I am 19w/1d and think I may have felt flutters but I'm not sure. I wasn't told that I have anterior placenta, so I'm hoping I start feeling soon :)

  • 19 weeks with an anterior placenta as well. I'm blessed with excessive gas (so fun)...so not sure that what I am feeling is baby or gas...

    Hopefully soon!

  • *lurking*
anterior placenta and 20+6; just started feeling semi regular-barely-there flutters this week, but nothing I couldnt also write off to gas.  Overweight as well.  Doc says may take as long as 23-24 weeks before I feel anything definite.  Glad we're all not the only ones!!
  • I thought I was feeling movement and then my EDD got pushed back and now I keep wondering if I am too early and just making it up in my head. I do feel something though. I suppose it could be gas, if gas bubbles feel different when you're pregnant. I started occasionally feeling like something is poking me from the inside about 2 weeks ago, and now I feel it for more extended periods and basically daily. I feel like it should be movement but I second guess myself a lot.
  • 21 weeks with anterior placenta, felt a few flips and kicks but nothing obvious. I'm not expecting more for some time because of the way the placenta is sitting

  • I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow I've felt maybe baby thumps but not all the time just a few times up to now. I don't know how my placenta is sitting so maybe I'll start feeling more thumps. I don't feel it often tho maybe here and there.
  • I am 20 weeks as of yesterday, I felt the first movement on Christmas and he was moving quite a bit last night. You will definitely know it when you feel it, I didn't know what I was waiting for but now I definitely do. It will come ladies don't worry :)
  • I'm waiting!! It's faint and rare that I feel her.. 19w3d FTM & anterior placenta... Being patient, but still so EAGER!!!!!
  • I'm a FTM, obese, and anterior placenta, 21w5d. I recently started feeling small faint "thumps" and my belly does twitch visibly sometimes, but I still second guess it. I don't always feel something when the tummy twitches... Don't know if that is normal or not. Anyway, I believe that I am feeling movement, but it isn't often yet and is faint.

  • 18 weeks and I think I feel flutters at night while I'm laying down but nothing consistent. I'm also obese so I figure it will be a whirl before I really feel substantial movements.

  • Almost 18 weeks, tall and thin pre-pregnancy, "normal" placenta, and I've felt nothing so far! We've seen Baby numerous times on ultrasound and he kicks and wiggles all the time, so I too am in the waiting game on when I'll actually feel it!

    12/15/13 - Oh my gosh... it's a BOY!!
  • I am 21 weeks with an anterior placenta... I feel flutters every once in a while. It's usually in the evening while I'm laying down.
  • I'll be 19 weeks on Tuesday. I'm little chubby and expected I wouldn't feel anything too early on, but thought I'd feel definite movement by now. I've felt s strange flutter or two, but no real movement yet.

  • I was just gonna post about this... I am 20wks, still don't know if some of the feelings I feel in my lower tummy are baby or just my tummy... I am overweight, and freak out that I still haven't felt her, but I guess I am not the only one.
  • 20 weeks tomorrow with anterior placenta...possible flutters but not for sure. She is always moving like crazy on u/s and using the placenta as a punching bag but no clear kicks...
