Ear infections

My son has a double ear infection. The dr put him on some medicine (waiting at the pharmacy now)
My question is, for those who's babies got ear infections, how long does it take for the meds to kick in? Could this be teething related? Dr says it's a possibility, I'm just looking for advice from other moms who went through this.

    DD was diagnosed Christmas Eve with the same thing.  She's been pretty miserable and has had fevers up to 104.  I actually had her in the tub at 1:00 in the morning the night before last.  I can't remember what antibiotics they gave her but she's been on it 2 days and she's still running fevers and it turned her poop purple.  I am hoping for some relief today or we will have to re-evaluate her treatment.  Every time she coughs she starts crying.  

    Hoping your LO feels better soon.  It sucks when they don't feel good.

    It can take a couple of days to kick in before noticing a difference. Just lots of cuddles. Tylenol & ibuprofen helps relieve the pain.
