Dry Scalp?

I know it's winter and therefore a common time for dry skin, but P's scalp is out of control. The past few days, he has had some huge flakes and today there were even a few that had a hair or two still attached. Is this normal for a baby? It's definitely not cradle cap b/c it's just on the top of his head.

I thought craddle cap could be just on top of the head? Where else does it go? Now I'm confused.

I would still try that Mustela cradle cap overnight cream with Aquaphor all day. I would apply the Mustela cream after using a warm wash cloth to gently remove any flakes.

I used coconut oil and a comb about 3 weeks ago and his dry scalp hasn't come back! Woohoo!

Cradle cap goes everywhere. The California baby shampoo and lotion helped Ben's. Also using a fine toothed comb.

Coconut oil before bath (let soak a little while), wash and brush normally and then apply aquaphor. Worked for us

Sounds like craddle cap- DD has this. It's starting to soften up on its on and hair comes off with the pieces of skin if I pick at it- which I try not to do too much. No clue what helps tho- I've heard witch's hazel but it smells really bad.
