Overdue baby

I'm getting really unnerved that I'm already 3 days past my due date. I don't want to get an unnecessary induction, but the irrational part of me is getting all anxious. DD was 1 day late. How do I deal with this uncertainty??

    Hang in there I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago. DD #1 came 5 days before her dd so I was sure this one would be about the same. Nope. DD 2 came one week and 1 day later. I was getting impatient but then my water broke during the night (water never broke with first DD). How long will your dr let you go? Mine was letting me go until 42 weeks. It's hard to wait, but just know they will soon be here!

    I wouldn't worry. It's average for a healthy pregnancy to go to 41 weeks.

    I was in your situation a few weeks ago, too. My LO arrived at 40 weeks, 1 day. I could tell you not to stress yourself, etc., but I know what it's like. I became convinced I would end up with an induction, and eventually have a C section. Really positive thinking, right? haha

    Luckily, that didn't happen.

    Keep in mind labor can come at a moment's notice, without any earlier "progress." I was barely 1 cm dilated and about 50% effaced the day before I went into labor. So you never know when it will happen for you!

    Try not to let yourself get to worried .I didnt go into labor till 42 weeks exactly with my oldest ( she came on her own no induction) . I was 41 weeks 3 days with my second , 36 weeks 5 days with my third ( totally took us by surprise) and 40 weeks 3 days with my fourth. After having to wait so long with my first and stressing myself out so bad I decided i wouldnt worry about when my children came from then on. If your tense and worried your less likely to go into labor sometimes . Take a nice bath , relax, go see a movie, have a date night anything you can do to pamper yourself and it will happen !

    Keep busy and try not to worry. My water broke 9 days past EDD. Remember it is just an estimated due date.

    I was 42 weeks on the day my 3rd was born. Yes I was totally miserable but she wouldn't be rushed. It's a mental game at this point. Try to keep yourself mentally occupied. Hide your phone, let calls roll to voicemail, sleep when you can and just relax as much as possible. Hang in there! Almost done!
