Spotting/Blood Clots in toilet

I am so paranoid and feel like what I am going through isn't normal. I am having spotting, but not enough to even wear a liner. I only see it when I pee. And when I look into the toilet there are ALWAYS some kind of clots. Its been like this for almost two weeks. I also have major back pain but I think that might be normal.

I am four weeks.

  • So thats not good? Like, its not normal?
  • I had some spotting last week (similar to what you are describing) and it turned out I have a blood clot in my uterus next to the baby. It is very common but you should go to your doctor to have it checked out. They have but me on pelvic rest and told me to rest (no activities, exercise, etc.)
  • You can call even if your appointment is next week. Explain what you're experiencing, let them make the call as far as what you should do. I don't want to scare you, but you should probably call them if you're having clots.

  • Any type of spotting, especially clots, you need to call your OB.
  • I would call for peace of mind. It could be something or it could be nothing but man I'd feel better knowing instead of wondering! Good luck to you
  • I had a lot of spotting in the last few weeks and after talking to the nurse went in to ER (OB is booked out a month).  They were worried because they couldn't find a fetal pole, but it was just too early.  Spotting got significantly worse a few days later and OB sent me back to ER where they finally found what they were looking for.  The whole point to the story is that they told me to come back right away if there was any clotting or more cramping with the spotting (I had it on my first visit), or if I was bleeding enough to soak a pad in an hour.  So yes, I would absolutely say you should at least get hold of your doctor!  Try not to freak out, I know easier said than done, but get your doctor's opinion.  Good luck honey!

  • thanks so much guys!

NOT NORMAL. If you have bleeding, and its more than a few tablespoons, somethings wrong. I passed small clots post partum, NEVER when I was pregnant.
