Teeth - how long?

LO has a tiny bit of sharp little tooth poking through his gums - how long until it's an actual tooth? Days? Weeks? I honestly have no idea!

  • DS just had one poking through for two days and today it broke through. Bled quite a bit, so be prepared for that possibility. I wasn't and it scared the crap out of me!
  • ^holy cow. Didn't know that happens!

  • Yeah me either! I looked over at him playing in his new car and he had blood smeared around his mouth so I panicked thinking he had hit it in the steering wheel, but then I examined him and saw blood dripping from his top gums and the tooth poking through. It was a relief to know where it came from, but I just didn't know that would happen!
  • My daughters first two bottom teeth came out in a few weeks at around 3 months. These top 2 teeth she got two weeks ago came out in a few days. She has a total of 8 and I didn't really watch the other ones. But we just found the two teeth after the middle top which they say is one of the bad ones and she has been super fussy plus with an ear infection that started on Christmas Eve ugh.
