How'd your LO do today?

Merry Christmas, everyone!

How did your LO handle the holidays? What was their favorite toy? Were you able to get them to nap?

Cooper had very little interest in opening presents. All of the new toys/commotion overwhelmed him a bit. It probably didn't help that we had 3 present-opening sessions in one day. Ours in the morning, my in-laws in the late morning, my parents in the mid-late afternoon. He did have fun with his cousins but was just a bit fussier than normal.

He LOVES the crazy coupe we bought him as his big gift. My dad bought him a little musical train that he loves too. He passed out in the car between the in-laws and my parents house (~30 minutes). I hope everyone had a fun day!

    Jack was the same way. We did presents last night at MIL's house and he was too busy being the center of attention. He's the only little kid in the family, so he's spoiled rotten. I opened his gifts and lost count there were so many. I think his Fisher Price Rockin Giraffe might be his favorite. He hopped on it as soon as he got up this morning (see below. LOL). I had to work all day today but DH said he didn't know what to do with all his toys, he had so many new ones to play with! Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    DD had a great Christmas. I had to work part of the day, but both sets of grandparents were here, and the kids had a blast. I think we only had one meltdown all day between the 2 of them. Much better than last year when DD was still colicky and DS was acting like a brat all day.
    DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.

    DS was a fussy, whiny mess on Christmas Eve. He was really great on Christmas Day. I think there's too much activity and stimulation on Christmas Eve, and I was in a shitty mood myself, so I can't really blame him, even if I was ready to put coal in his stocking.

    Meery82;: your pic is adorable, and your tree is beautiful!

    Also: DD was fussy on Xmas eve because she didn't get a good nap, and Christmas was napping on the way home. Her Fav toy by far is a ride on car my mom got her. She could ride in that all day (fun for us because WE have to push her around all day) but overall it was awesome. I really enjoy having the joy of Christmas with my LO it makes it fun again!

    DS totally grasped the concept of gifts. As soon as one was set in front of him he'd exclaim "Ooohhhh" and nod.

    He did great on Christmas. He got A LOT of toys. I was hoping grandparents would get more puzzles and learning toys. He got 3 of the same tractor.

    His melt down came yesterday morning when I had to wake him up to go to daycare because I had to work. He wasn't ready to be awake yet and then he couldn't play with any of the cool new toys. Then, after work he had another because there is one present remaining wrapped. It is for BIL and DS was ticked when I took it away from him.

    James did really well. We stayed home christmas eve so regular bedtime and a movie before. Christmas day we had gifts here and then to my dad's house. He slept on the way there ~45min. He actually sat down in a chair and ate as opposed to in a high chair(which is the norm at our house still). He really doesn't like opening gifts. Once he sees what's under the paper he wants the item opened so he can play with it but he has no interest in taking the paper off.
    I would say his favorite gifts would be the zebra riding/scooter toy my mom got him and the 4-wheeler we got him.
