Baby not sleeping well.....

The last couple of weeks she has been up 3-4 times a night, I ebf her. She is six months today. So today my sil mentioned if I had started solids which I have not yet. But she said that could be why baby is waking up frequently during night is because she is getting more hungry, so my q is if I start solids will this help my baby sleep better because she will be fuller?

Re: Baby not sleeping well.....

  • I have been giving N solids for about 3 weeks now and she has started sleeping worse :/

  • I think it just depends on the baby... @Maelara stated that her baby startred sleeping worse but I've seen in other threads people mention that their babies started sleeping better. So I think it depends on the baby itself.

  • We have been doing solids for a while and he doesn't sleep through the night.
  • I ebf until 16 weeks, at which point it was discovered my supply was drying out.  I started supplementing with formula before switching exclusively to formula.  LO's weight went from being in the 15% percentile to the 54%.  And he dropped his MOTN feedings.  He literally really started thriving on formula.  Which was incredibly hurtful and difficult for me to accept.  At the same time I switched to formula is when I started solids as well, so that may have played a role.
