First tooth?

Did anyone's baby while getting their first tooth cry and fuss non stop for days? This began sat and is not getting better had a low fever for a coupke days runny nose drool gross diapers etc still continuing ugh have given Tylenol too off and on not sure if this is what it is or if he is sick w something he usually never cries

    Jack still doesnt have teeth so no help there but he did exactly what you are describing. I attributed it to teething but it turned out to be a double ear infection. So something to watch for.

    Yep, same here! Double ear infection with those symptoms :( Seems to be common around this age and also easily confused with teething. It's so hard to figure them out sometimes!

    Yeah it's gotta be one or the other I think I'll bring him in Tom to be sure I'll feel bad if it is an infection

    I hope your LO is feeling better soon. I would call the pediatrician to be on the safe side. When DD got her first tooth, she seemed the same as usual. She had been drooling constantly for a couple of months, and we only found it because she bit my sister.

    Don't feel bad, if it is. It's hard to know! My LO was crying and crying all weekend, it had started on a Thursday and she was just out of sorts, just wanting to nurse non-stop and wasn't really sleeping well. I really thought it was teething. Then she started getting goopy eyes over the weekend and so I took her in. They diagnosed the double ear infection. I would never have guessed, she didn't have a fever or anything.

    Good luck! It's almost reassuring if it is an ear infection, that they can treat at least! My LO was feeling better within a day of starting the antibiotics.
