My friend had a baby boy on November 26th at 34.5 weeks. They spent 2 weeks in NICU before being moved to the paediatric unit because he was the "healthiest" baby in NICU and they were full. He really struggled the first few days on peds but he's now doing great and they are coming home TODAY!!! What an excellent Christmas present!!
My poor friend hasn't been home since he was born since the hospital is an hour away. When in NICU she stayed in the hostel for parents, but once he was moved to peds they had to leave the hostel and she's been living in his hospital room. I'm just so excited for her and wanted to share with a bunch of moms that would understand. I doubt she wants me to tell our friends here yet (she didn't say but I'm in the "not my news to share" camp with most things!!) so I'm happily sharing with internet strangers who won't bombard her house today!!
