Help! Travel related...

We're making the journey tomorrow from Iowa to Dallas, TX. The drive will be roughly 14 hours..give or take. Any tips? We plan to leave around the girls' bedtime in hopes that they sleep most of the way but this will not be the case for the way home.

I'm also looking for some sympathy in this post. Haha...fourteeeen hourrrsss!

    Wow! No advice since we've never travelled longer than a couple of hours but wanted to wish you luck :)

    We traveled over night (9 hours) and Lexi slept most of the time :) woke once for a feeding & we pulled over. Good luck!!!

    TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

    Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

    I wish :( it's just not an option to fly four people on our budget on top of renting a car once we get there.

    We did a 12 hour drive when DS was 10 mos old. On the way there we split it up over 2 days but weren't able to on the way home. But DS did way way better than expected. He slept more than usual, which helped. We also stopped and went into a restaurant to eat, which isn't something that we would have normally done with just DH and I. We took the iPad and had silly songs and this app called "peek a boo barn" on it. DH and I switched off sitting in the back and playing with toys with him while he was awake. The only thing was he did not want to go in his car seat the next time we were trying to go somewhere. I think he thought it would be another 12 hour drive!!
