Is anyone else's baby constantly sick?!?

First off, Merry Christmas everyone!

Now to my post. Does anyone else feel like their baby is constantly sick?!? Em is sick AGAIN and was up all night crying. He is so congested that he can barely nurse and he's developed a hoarse cough. He refuses to nap and has been miserable all morning. So much for his first Christmas :-( I just feel so bad for the little guy

Every time it seems that he gets over a sickness, another one comes on. He doesn't go to daycare, so I'm not sure where he's getting all these germs from. I just want my baby to feel better and enjoy his first Christmas.

    Poor lil guy. LO continually goes thru a cycle of cough/runny nose to clear for a few days then stuffy/runny again. Been that way for about a month now. But she doea go to daycare so I think they just keep passing it around.

    Nights are not fun right now. We do get some sttn's here and there.

    I'm sorry your little guy isn't feeling well. L had only had one little cold before nothing major and that was around 5 months old. Then on Monday night I took her to urgent care and discovered she has an ear infection. I started her on antibiotics but now she's got the worst congestion. She can't breathe at all, won't sleep and has been screaming non stop. She was surprisingly happy and tolerant of my extended family last night but today is a whole different story. I was so excited for Christmas with her but she's way to miserable to enjoy it. We stopped opening presents after the 3rd or 4th one and decided we would just hold off till she feels better.

    I hope your little one feels better very soon!

    Merry Christmas :) Sorry your LO is feeling bad :(

    Have you taken him in to be seen? Like @RoxZ32 mentioned with her LO, our LO also had an ear infection that was causing similar symptoms to what your guy is experiencing. Antibiotics cleared it pretty quick for us.

    Edit to add: If I were you, I'd be calling the pedi tomorrow to have LO seen, due to the cough. It's the time of year that RSV and croup are rampant and with baby's tiny airways, things can get bad pretty quickly.

    I hear you. DD is also sick again and did not have a very Happy Christmas at all. This isn't how I pictured her first Christmas but more than that I just feel so bad for her. I've already taken her to the Ped and they said it was viral and needs to run it's course but it's been a week so I'm going back tomorrow. I understnaf they don't want to be too quick to medicate but enough is enough my DD is miserable and today the fever came back. Like the pp I said RSV is common this time of year and her cough is concerning me. It may be a good idea for you to take your LO too. Hope he feels better soon!

    Yup! Unfortunately. LO goes to daycare. 6 of the 8 kiddos (including W) have ear infections. Starting with his 6 mo appt (at 6.5 mo), he's had several coughs (got better, then worse, getting better again) throwing up, ear infections, stuffy nose, fevers. I feel so bad for my guy. His sleep has been horrible. I am debating sleep training but I am concerned bc I don't honestly know why he's waking (out of habit/can't put self back to sleep or bc he's sick/uncomfortable). Being a mom is hard!

    Yup. It sucks. I feel so bad for baby. He currently has RSV, bronchiolitis and a double ear infection! Let's just say we've had a really rough week. 2 dr visits and an ER visit in 5 days. Hope your baby feels better soon and just want to let you know your not alone!
