I grew up with a real tree we cut down each year and kept up the tradition well, but not this year. I failed this year but next year we will be back to a real and a fake.
Real tree here! Every year we hike up in the mountains and cut one down. I was so excited for Emmett to experience that this year but he slept the entire time in the Ergo! Here's this years tree.
My first real tree! Autumn loves to play with the presents when she thinks I'm not watching her. I hope that means she will enjoy opening them on Christmas day!
I'm allergic to everything outside so we do a fake one. I got DH a baby tree last year that he planted outside. So as DS grows, that tree does too and he decorates that outside. Best of both worlds
We usually do a real tree, but 2 years ago H's dad bought us a really great pre-lit 7' tree so that's what is up now. It's nice because it can go up before thanksgiving and stay up until after the new year. When Ab is older we will to real ones again. I missed the smell this year so I got real wreath for above the couch.
I always do real usually but this year I got the tree and got the wrong one (Stupid Norway Spruce). All the needles fell off yesterday so I had to strip the tree and dress the fake one we have.
I've got two fakes, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. We were just talking this weekend about getting a real one in a few years when Nug is bigger.
Mine is fake but I'm thinking we'll get a real one when LO is older and have 2. We can put all the sentimental ornaments on one and have a matchy matchy one upstairs.
ETA Oh, and the bottom looks weird and naked because the cats chase each other under there and destroy it
I have a fake tree, and a Scentsy with fake pine scent. No one notices it's fake unless they get really close to the tree because my whole livingroom has that Christmas-y smell.
I wish I could find a picture of it, but I used to have a Christmas cactus. I had a husky that would destroy every plant I brought in the house, including Christmas trees. After 2 mutilated real Christmas trees, I bought a 5' tall cactus and decked it out. It was my only dog-proof decoration.
Ours is real fake lol. Like @TradeMama ours stays up till Three Kings Day so we can't really do real unless we put it up late which I don't like to do.
Here's our Pup posing next to it for his Birthday today.
