Rash Question

Has your LO had a random rash? Google says totally normal for kids, but it seems strange since I don't think he has been exposed to any potential irritants. No fever and he doesn't seem bothered.

Re: Rash Question

  • It basically says not to worry about it if he doesn't seem bothered and no fever. Just to keep an eye on if for a few days.

  • My LO gets a rash that's kind of like this, a little more splotchy, about 24-73 hours after a fever. Was he sick at all over the weekend? That's my only contribution. Hope your LO feels better soon!

  • My only thoughts are a post-sick rash. I think I would see the pedi if that doesn't clear it soon. Poor little guy :(

  • Did LO have his 15 month shots yet? Specifically the varicella? My pedi mentioned that rash after vaccination was possible and it could show up up to 6 weeks after the immunization..... Just a thought.

  • He had varicella and MMR at his 1 year, so almost 3 months ago.
  • My son had this- started on his upper legs, then spread pretty much everywhere. Doctor said it was Fifths Disease. BUt his was accompained by a high fever, but his pedi said that a fever doeesn't always occur at the same time as the rash.
