We will never stop....

Worrying about our babies. DD loves sleeping on her belly and even though she can roll back to belly and belly to back uber quick, I still worry. I'm noticing she's sleeping face down and it freaks me out. I know they say they'll be okay if they can roll both ways but still, it's my job to worry. She's does it during naps and through the night so during both I'm checking on her ALL THE TIME! Someone please tell me she'll be fine!

  • She'll be fine! I'm to the point now where I put my guy down to sleep on his belly. It's normal to worry a little bit, but don't let it take over your life!

  • Put Paige on her tummy to sleep too, she just rolls that way anyway.

N sleeps on his belly too. I used to be very worried about it and still am sometimes but I know he's fine.

It's hard not to worry but your LO will be fine.

  • DS sleeps on his stomach all night, every night. No worries! I am still too scared to give him a blanket of any type, though, so he wears a sleep sack (not the kind that keeps his arms in).

Christian sleeps on his belly now most times too. I don't like it but my mind is eased knowing the angelcare monitor will beep if it doesn't detect his movement. I still check on him though!

We had one but took it back because of the recall. :(
  • He will be fine!  I would think most of our babies are doing this now.  Also, I wanted to talk about something you said - about it being your job to worry.  Yes, it is your job to worry, but not all the time. That does nothing to help your peace of mind for either you or your family.  Worry is stress, which is really bad on the mind and body.  It is good to worry when the time is right, but we have to give ourselves a break.

I would try some mind exercises to ease the worry.  When you are overwhelmed with worry about it, just tell yourself that she will be fine, as she has been each and every night, because you are a wonderful mother.  She will continue to be fine because you are a wonderful mother - not because of worry. You are doing great, mama!
Thank you so much! What you said means a lot! DH is always telling me "worrying is like a rocking chair, gives you something to do but gets you nowhere"
