NBR Ice storm :(

We are in the midst of a crazy ice storm right now and it sucks! We lost power last night, but DD wad already in bed so we stayed home and lit some candles. Brought her into bed with us when she woke at 6 because her room was freezing. Still didn't have power this morning and the house was freezing. ILs live 5 mins away and have power we are hanging out there for the day. It took us 20 min to de-ice our car and roads are terrible. ILs have power, but no cable or internet, it's going to be a long day.... Anyone else dealing with this crap weather?

I'm in Niagara and supposed to heat out on the roads to pick up my cat! I hope it's not that bad!! Fingers crossed!

@Araziza where do you live? We are in the ice storm too and at my parents since our power is also out.

Yep, we're in Oklahoma. We lost power for a couple of hours last night, but it came back on, thank goodness. It got cold just in that short amount of time. All electric houses aren't good. Cable line got ripped down by a falling tree limb.

I went out here in Niagara and it wasn't bad! We however have been dealing with no furnace since our return Friday night so that's no fun!

I'm in the Toronto suburbs. We got our power back thank god, but now ILs have no power. I'm just happy we can sleep at home tonight.

I'm in Toronto, though we were lucky enough not to lose power--thank G-d, because we live on the 16th floor and LO combo feeds and we didn't have any appropriate canned food for us or distilled water for formula for him. What is up with this weather?? I believe it about Mother Nature and the eggnog. Stay warm and safe!
