Fast heartbeat?!

I FINALLY had my 1st scan today at 8.5 weeks. I'm the last of the July mommas. Baby's hb was 178. I was so happy to see one that I didnt think til now that that seems really fast. Anybody else have one in the 170s or higher arnd this time??

well ive heard a fast heart beat is most likely a girl

it should be interesting to find out, if from what i've "read" if its true.

When i hear my babies heartbeat january 8th I'm going to play the guessing game too.

The first time I got to hear my daughters heartbeat it was also in the upper 170s...hoping to hear this lil one's next week

8w6d at 179 hr

dr said it is normal to spike between 8w and 10w then it will stabilize.

At 9w1d, my LO's heartbeat was 181.

Around that time our baby's was 181 bpm. The heartrate peaks during weeks 8-10, then will slow down to an average of 140 bpm by week 15.

At 7w my baby's heartbeat was 128. At 12w it was up to 173. Baby is doing great. Totally normal.

LO's heartbeat was 170 at 8w6d. With my DD, her heart rate was 138 around the same time.

I had a ultra sound at 9 wks & got to hear the heartbeat. It was 182 & they thought it was fine good strong heartbeat

I wouldn't worry.

My 7 week 3 day was 143 my 11 week 3 day a whooping 183! Doc said baby was def active and happy in there. Lol my 4 dd's were 165-180's.

There's a wide range for normal. Sounds like you've got a healthy strong HB. Mine were :
7w1d - 143
10w2d - 172
Doc said those were great!!

Yes 175 at 8 weeks but now at 10 weeks it has decreased to 165

At 8w 1d our baby's heartbeat was 177.

At 11 weeks ... 176! Hoping what they say is true ... Higher the heartbeat means it's a girl, but since I've been spotting for almost 2 weeks now, I will just take a healthy pregnancy and full 9 mos and of course a happy, healthy baby!

At 8 weeks it was 170, at 12 weeks is was 169. Doctor is not concerned at all.

I've had to have quite a few scans for bleeding and pain and the HB has been 151, 181, 160, (that was a Doppler), then yesterday emergency trip to the doc HB was 156.

I felt the same way when we heard our LO's heartbeat for the first time at 8w4d. It was 180 I thought "OMG that is so high is he/she ok?" but the dr. reassured me all is fine

I was concerned too! Mine was 176, I was 8w3days. I'm hoping for a girl! But all I really want is a healthy baby!

Every time ive been to my OB baby's heartbeat was 165, 174, and 178 yesterday. I'm 10 weeks today btw
