My Wedding Bio from back in the day
Hi guys! I just woke up. Nothing really to report- they take my vitals every 4 hours. my blood pressure, which was 140/100 at the doctors office yesterday, has gone down to the normal range, but I have a feeling it'll shoot back up before we have our ultrasound later this morning. I got part one of the steroid shot yesterday, I'll get part two tonight I think. They're doing a 24-hour urine catch too. They did an NST(i think? There were two things on my belly, one to heck his heart rate and the other to check for contractions) last night for an hour and he was NOT happy with it! He kept kicking/punching the monitor, I could feel it and dh could hear it haha. I'm supposed to have another one this morning, I think before my ultrasound.
I don't know if I said this before, but I'll say it anyways- the problem is with his cord, it's not working right. The thing about this issue is, it's so fluid. They could send me home after the 48 hours and just keep monitoring at the MFM every couple days.. Or they could keep me for a little while longer and make a decision then. At any point they could not like what they see and decide he needs to come ASAP and via csection. It could all change so fast.
Yesterday is all a blur to me right now, from the moment they said we were going to the hospital. I want to say the dopplers looked the same as before, but I don't know. Right now I'm just doing what they tell me to. I'm scared that he might be making his appearance soon, but I feel a lot less anxiety about it now that we're here and I know I'm in good hands. If he does need to come, I'm here and ready. We're at a hospital with a great nicu and children's is right across the street.
Oh, btw, hospital beds are hot as hell. the bed is plastic with a cotton sheet over it. They told me I might feel hot from the steroid shot, but even before my whole back side was HOT and sweating bullets. I normally run cold but last night we cracked the window for a little bit while watching tv and the thermostat is set in the 50s.
Thank you so so much for your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it.
