I took my first dose at 2:00 and cramping started around 5 but is now subsiding at 8:30. I have not had any bleeding though. For it to be working don't I need to cramp & bleed?

When I took misoprostol, I took it vaginally. It took about 4 hours until the cramping really started. The intense cramping lasted for a couple hours and then tapered to cramps like a bad AF cramp for another few hours. The bleeding, as I recall started around the time the really intense cramping began. I bled for 48 hours and passed large clots.
If you feel like what you are experiencing is not what your doctor told you to expect, I'd call the office and ask to have the on call doctor paged.
