My turn at L and D- update

So woke up this morning with my legs an ankles huge but didn't think anything of it because I felt fine and was seeing my doc this afternoon. Then they cancel my dr appt because the power is out so had one of my coworkers take my BP and it was 140/88. When usually I ride 120/70 on a high day. Still feeling fine but OB wants me to be checked out just in case. I kinda feel silly being here but DH has an overnight job tonight and he was still home so figure I'll get checked out just in case because I wouldn't want to be stuck alone in case something bad was to happen. Will keep u ladies updated.
Update: so everything looks good. Kinda fun to confirm on the monitor is in fact contractions. But they are having me do a 24 hour catch to be safe.
Also they get ahold of my doctors office and they want me to come in this week. Which is irritating me beyond belief because I took vacation time today to go to a doctors appt because they didn't have anything available any other day this week because of the holiday and then they cancel on me today because of a power outage. So yes I know if it was a non appt day I would have been told to go to labor and delivery but it's just more annoying that this all occurred because my appt got cancelled. Plus I was told with the whole debacle last Friday that there were no other appts available and that Monday was the only day an OB was seeing patients. So now I'm stressed because I don't know how I'm going to get an appt and I can't take time off of work this week really and I can't do anything about it until I call tomorrow if they're open or even Thursday if they are closed. Sigh.... I know it's the pregnancy hormones and the fact that I haven't eaten in 8 hours but I'm really upset that I went in at this point now. I know that it's best to know everything is good but now it's just turned into a huge hassle.
Now I leave u lovely ladies to enjoy my Wendy's spicy chicken sand which.
Ps- my coworker said she swelled up a lot in her feet the day before she went into labor. Any truth STM?
