TTC Check-In

Good morning everyone! I'm jealous of all of you who are off today (and this week)!

At any rate, how are things going in your TTC journey?

QOTD: Everyone needs comfort at some point in their lives. When you are upset or feeling down, what is your number one go to item for comfort?

Me: 30  DW (aka C): 29

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

Re: TTC Check-In

  • Good morning everyone!

Our TTC journey is chugging along right now. I'm currently on CD 52, which is incredibly frustrating to me. My longest cycle to date was 42 days. You would think that with all of the money we are spending on acupuncture that I could get some regular cycles, but that would not be the case.

At this point, I am kind of hoping that I DON'T start CD 1 until at least the 29th (my bday!). If my cycle holds off until at least that point, then we can get into the RE and get all of the testing done and it will be covered by insurance. If I start before then, then the bloodwork will have to wait until the next cycle. I guess we will have to just wait and see. My chart is a disaster and my temps are just now starting to even out a little bit. I am thinking that ovulation is either occurring or trying to occur right now, but I have had no temp confirmation at all.

Definitely frustrating. Also, we told my sister-in-law and brother-in-law that we were trying and their reaction was less than enthusiastic. My wife was devastated (just like when she told her Mom). They at least tried to ask questions, but overall, they were unimpressed. It's sad, really.

QOTW: I tend to go to reading or music if I need comforting. I'm really doing my best to avoid going to food.

TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews.

  • Good morning everyone!  The boards are a little quiet this morning, people must be busy finished up things before the holidays.

As I posted in a thread yesterday I believe I am pregnant. I am waiting to hear back from the Dr today about my beta test.  So I hope to be graduating to the pregnancy check in, but I also feel so much for everyone of you on this journey.  All of you are so amazing and I pray every night you get your healthy baby and family soon!!

QOTD: When I need comfort I am bad about turning to food.  I turn to my wife a lot, she helps to calm me down.  I also enjoy cuddling with my fur-babies.  They always make me happy :-)

  • check in!  being that my luteal phase was so (abnormally!) short on our first TTC cycle (due to what we believe was a chemical pregnancy), i'm already gearing up to ovulate this weekend.  we just ordered vial for our next insem, even though it's stretching us quite thin financially.

we will be trying IUI at-home this cycle (as opposed to ICI/IVI last cycle) so i'm hoping that helps our chances!  if we conceive this weekend, baby would be due about 4-5 days before my birthday and we would just love that.

QOTD... it's less of an "item"... my wife especially but also friends and family.  also, spirituality, positivity, reiki.

best wishes to everyone this holiday season!
    Me: 32  DW: 26 - married in october 2013!
TTC baby #1 at-home AIs with frozen donor sperm through cryobank, no meds

    #1 early december 2013: 1 vial ICI/IVI at 8 hours past +OPK, likely a chemical loss at 9dpo
#2 late december 2013: 1 vial IUI, timing was way off, BFN
#3 took a month off and trying again mid-february... would love TWW buddies!
  • I'm finally on CD 1, which means back on the baby making train! I don't think I have ever been so excited to get my period.

I am going for blood work and my baseline u/s tomorrow. I'm very thankful they are letting me come in on CD 2 rather than 3, which would be Christmas morning. I will start my Gonal-F injects Christmas evening.

QOTD: Besides food and C, there is nothing I love more than putting on a big, soft, comfy hoodie when I'm needing comfort. There is something about feeling soft things that comforts me.

  • I am sooo glad to be off for two weeks! Sorry @StacyLH24 :D

Today I am 10dpiui. This TWW sucks (everytime). M and I were laughing that at least this time I made it to 7dpiui before having anxiety and obsessing so that is a step forward LOL

Sounds weird, but my wife's nose on my face.  Just laying down and her putting her nose on my face calms me. Not sure why, just always has. I

  • I'm CD 5, so not too much going on right now. Temping and cm checks for now- will really get into gear with OPKs about Day 15 in prep for O around day 19-20. Our donor is really excited about this cycle. He's already penciling in my projected dates. It's easier now that we've got a cycle under our belt - more "normal" and less awkward. Lucky he's local and we aren't paying for vials. We are shooting for 4 or more insems this cycle. For comfort? I agree with @trisholio! Furbabies. Although chocolate and beer also comfort me..... ;)
