Anyone taken their LO to see a movie?

My DH will be working all this week, so we were hoping to do something special today. Of course it's rainy and cold, so we were thinking of going to see a movie with our DD. It looks like "Frozen" will be our best bet with scheduling it around naptime. She loves Disney's "Robin Hood," (like, could watch all day, every day love) but I don't think she's ever sat through any other movie (to be fair, we don't watch a lot of movies with her around). Anyone have any experiences they'd like to share? Are we just going to waste $40 to see 15 minutes of previews?

Re: Anyone taken their LO to see a movie?

  • We have went to watch 4 different animated movies with the boys since they were born, and only had to leave one for a few minutes to take lo for a walk, as he was getting fussy and needed to move around a bit. We went right back in after about ten minutes (I took lo out and dh stayed with ds1). Lo just turned 2 on dec 3, so 1 time out of 4 isn't bad! The boys want to see walking with dinosaurs (I think frozen looks amazing but the boys are more interested in dinosaurs!), so we will probably be going back again very soon!

  • Nope - my DD is 3 1/2 and still hasn't been to the theatres.  I think she could be ok since she will sit still and watch a movie, but I don't think DS would at all!!  He's not that into movies or TV.
