Re: Favorite Holiday Recipe

  • I'm making crock pot crack. Haha.. It's so good!

1- 16 oz jar of unsalted peanuts
1- 16 oz jar of salted peanuts
1- bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
1- bag of milk chocolate chips
2- bags of peanut butter chips
2- 1lb bars of almond bark

Layer all ingredients in crock pot starting with peanuts. Cook on low for 2 hours. After the 2 hours stir and continue on low for another 30 mins. Then spoon out little bunches on wax paper and allow to cool for at least one hour.

  • Sweet Potato Casserole

2(29oz) cans sweet potatoes (or about 10 medium sweet potatoes, cooked)
    3/4 cup white sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 tablespoon vanilla

    Topping:
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup butter or margarine melted
    chopped pecans
    marshmellows (optional)

Blend sweet potatoes, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla together. For most blenders, you will have to make two blendings. Use half of the ingredients each time. Spread into a large flat baking dish. Topping: Mix the brown sugar, margarine and flour together well. Crumble over the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes uncovered. (Top with marshmellows, bake until marshmellows are toasted).
