Fur babies

How have you with multiples kept your cats away? I obviously want the babies to be around the cats so they get used to it but in order for the nursery to get air or heat is if the door is open. I'm terrified of the cats getting in the cribs to sleep when the twins get here. Any advice?

    My cat doesn't care for the twins so he keeps his distance unless we're holding one and he wants to cuddle with my husband or me. He shows zero interest in them when they sleep in their RnPs for naps or the bassinet at night. We haven't transitioned to the nursery cribs yet. We close the nursery door because my cat loves to scratch the rug, so that would prevent him from getting in a crib. How old are your cats?

    This is obviously not an option for everyone, but before DS was born DW and I put screen doors up on the first floor. The cats don't have access to the stairs to go up to where the babies are. They are confined to the first floor and basement.

    Keeps the cats out of the babies room, and keep the majority of the cat hair out of the upstairs as well.

    My cat has zero interest in the babies or the cribs. She has however claimed the comfy chair in the room.
