I succumbed and took my first pregnancy nap. I hate naps, I think they are the biggest waste of waking hours! But, while pregnant I learned last time that they are a necessary evil. So taking the nap for me is a huge success because it means I'm listening to my body and making the rest of my waking hours feel much better! We went to a show last night and I made it til after 11pm without keeling over...thanks, nap.

I also went to my first pre-natal yoga class yesterday!!! It was a bit challenging but so fun to be among the pregos and start priming my for this adventure. And I went despite feeling pretty barfy. Bonus points!
    Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!

More than half of our crap has been moved from the old house to the new house.  Since I hate moving like a vampire hates sun, this is an accomplishment.  Also we have a meeting with a prospective doula later today and I am excited about that.
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

I dragged my slightly barfy self to the gym this morning -- first time I exercised since 5-6 weeks when my wife decided it made her nervous and I should wait until after first ultrasound.  After that, I was too tired/busy/unmotivated to go.  But I'm trying to get a head start on a healthier year.  I just walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill, but I have to say I felt really good afterward.  Going to try to go again on Tuesday.

@2MamazinSeattle, I love napping!  My favorite part of pregnancy is having an excuse to do so!

I worked out for two hours today, which was an awesome feeling. Later today I will be working out again because my wife's hockey team is having a family skate. I'm feeling amazing, and even when I eat more a few more carbs than I think I should be eating, I am making up for it with extra working out.

    P.S. I love naps, too!

TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews.

I successfully survived a super busy weekend with my in-laws. We went to my in-laws' house on Friday afternoon and just got home about an hour ago. There were two Christmas parties and I was up until 12:30am and 11:30pm the last two nights --WAY later Than I have stayed up my entire pregnancy up to this point. I felt sick both nights by the end and had to actually leave and go to bed "early" both nights. It was hard for me to do b/c I felt guilty, but literally hit my breaking points both nights and just couldn't stay any longer. Then today we got up early and had Christmas and exchanged gifts with my wife's family. Then we all went to see Elf the musical and then out to dinner. We just got home and my wife and I exchanged gifts... After our appointment tomorrow AM, we are driving to my mom's in Boston. Soooo, the action packed schedule will continue! At any rate, I am proud of myself for getting through the last three long days/nights. We saw lots of family and friends and got lots of hugs and congratulations on our pregnancy.

I finished one set of homemade gifts tonight. I glued glass beads onto empty wine bottles and put white lights in them. They look awesome. I made four of those. Right now, I'm working on Vics vapor discs and then bath bombs.

This week I started a new meal plan and got myself to the gym. I used to be obese...lost 90 pounds....I've gained about fifteen back. Dr says if I can lose that fifteen over again I'll be sitting pretty for pregnancy. I may not lose all fifteen before I O this month, but I'm gonna get as close as I can, safely. I'm proud I tried something new and faced my least favorite thing...squats!

@herbabymama - I'm glad you were able to get it all worked out and ask for what you need. Sometimes that is such a hard thing to do. If you have done it now, you can do it again! Kudos to you!

I had a small accomplishment Sunday, I spent the afternoon with my mom and sister and we didn't fight!  This may sound strange, but we have  way of irritating one another.  This is especially a challenge since my sister is preggo and very irritated and I think I am newly pregnant too.  I thought for sure we would kill one another.  But it was actually a lot of fun and I laughed a lot!
I don't ever remember actually decorating cookies like this before.  We didn't have the right cookies and it was like the blind leading the blind, but I wanted to PIP my cookie.  It is horrible but hilarious!

herbabymama, congratulations on asking for help.  I know how you feel about a mother not being helpful or helping the way you need.  I am sure I am going to go thru the same thing.
2MamazInSeattle I think you are missing the 'napping' gene.  I love naps!!  Right now I am babysitting just one child and he naps for 1-2 hours each day, I admit I almost always take a nap with him.  I know this won't last forever and I am enjoying the sleep while I can!!  Embrace naps, it could change your life :-)
