    Weeks/Fruit: 14 week lemon.

How are you feeling? Much better! Still dealing with exhaustion. I've (mostly) moved on from nausea and vomiting to uncontrollable hiccups.

Upcoming appointments? We're doing an elective ultrasound next Saturday!

Questions? Does anyone else get plagued with constant hiccups while pregnant? It's happened with all 3 of my pregnancies now. I looked it up the other day and it really is a pregnancy symptom caused by breathing in more air.

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated?

I can't wait to watch my kids open their presents!! We didn't buy them anything exciting this year, it's all clothes and then cash...but I still can't wait! And I can't wait to see what everyone else got them!

How are you feeling? Today I am officially in my 2nd tri. Back to being exhausted and m/s again even though it started to go away last week. Definitely not feeling the 2nd trimester energy yet.

Upcoming appointments? OB checkup in a few weeks.

    Questions? Nope.

I can't wait to see my daughter open her presents this year.

  • Weeks/fruit: 13, peach!

Feeling: exhausted, and I can't stop sneezing! Most people sneeze 3 times in a row, I'm sneezing double that and I get rlp when I do.

Appts: had my NT scan on Monday and everything is fine and in the normal range. Yay!

Questions: how do you keep an almost 3 year old from taking down all of your Christmas decorations?? Super glue?

GTKY: I am also really excited to see my DS open all his gifts. He is going to flip! I'm a really good gift giver. Not to toot my own horn or anything... (But TOOT TOOT!)

  • Weeks/Fruit: 15 weeks, naval orange

How are you feeling? Feeling pretty great! Patiently waiting for my bump to pop out and to feel the baby

Upcoming appointments? No new appts until Jan 8 :( But my NT scan results came back perfect!

    Questions? Nope

We don't celebrate - but will either hang out with family/friends or just spend the day relaxing at home

  • Weeks/Fruit: 13/peach! I'm going with week 14 as the start of 2nd tri, so almost there!!!

How are you feeling? good as far as pregnancy goes - I think MS is gone! I do have a cold though. Still dry skin/mild dandruff, possible mild sciatic nerve pain and that same leg falls asleep easily, but that's about it.

Upcoming appointments? Not for 3 more weeks

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated? Christmas day night I work, but we don't do much that night anyway. Christmas Eve is our big dinner, then to my hubby's family, and midnight mass. Christmas Day we'll open presents with my parents and siblings, have a big lunch, then it's bedtime for me.

How are you feeling? Exhaustion and RLP are my only symptoms lately.

Upcoming appointments? Monthly appt. on 12/30

Questions? I'm going to ask my OB about birthing classes the hospital offers and how much they cost. Any STMs have any input on whether those classes are worth the money?

GTKY: I'm mostly looking forward to eating cinnamon rolls in the morning and cooking all day with my mom. I don't care that much about presents, though I have a few things under the tree for DH that I am excited to see him open.

    Weeks/Fruit: 14- Lemon

How are you feeling? Mostly good. If I get too hungry I get nauseous and I still need a nap everyday when dh gets home

    Upcoming appointments? Jan 3rd

    Questions? None

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated? Taking DS to see Christmas lights was what I was most looking forward too. He loved it. I think we will go again this weekend sometime
  • I guess I'm a Saturday ticker change - I always forget! Started out as a Thursday ticker, and I'm measuring ahead, but for now they're keeping me on 6/7, so here I am!

    Weeks/Fruit:   16w... no clue

How are you feeling?   Fine - had the amnio yesterday, so luckily I'm not crampy any longer and my stomach isn't quite as sore.  Other than that, feeling just fine.

Upcoming appointments?   Cancelled my growth ultrasound that was scheduled for Tuesday, since we had ultrasounds before both of my scheduled amnio dates, with decent growth meausrements done last Friday.  Since my a/s is scheduled for 1/9, I didn't think I needed ANOTHER scan in three days.

    Questions?

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated?

We are heading down to DH's uncle's house in VA Beach, so I'm looking forward to getting away.  We don't celebrate, so we're hoping to take DD to see Frozen.  The closest holiday was Chanukah, which was around Thanksgiving this year, and our next holiday (which is equally as big as Chanukah, but no one knows it) is the middle of January.

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated?
I can't wait to see DS's face Christmas morning. I'm really excited to see all of my family too!

  • Weeks/Fruit: 16 week avocado

How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still more tired than usual, but no nausea anymore.  Anxious about starting to gain weight but reminding myself that's part of the plan.

Upcoming appointments?  16 wk appt on 23rd

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated?

We are celebrating with DH's side of the family in January this year. So this year, it's just my DH and I on xmas morning. We just did stockings for each other since we're buying a king bed as our gift to each other for xmas. We always do finger foods xmas eve and a big breakfast in the morning, so I'm looking forward that.

  • Weeks/Fruit: 13 weeks I'm a PEACH!!!!!!!!! (who doesn't love A League of Their Own).  I feel so behind on this board.  Last time I was early May so I was ahead of the game :)

How are you feeling? Meh - better than week 11 but still not great

Upcoming appointments? Tuesday! Can't wait to hear that HB

Questions? Who else has heartburn!  I don't remember it coming on this early last time.  I feel like my whole chest/stomach feels so acidic no matter what I do or eat.

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated? I'm honestly not excited this year. I have to go to my in laws and it's a small house and not very comfy. But we will probably announce on FB Christmas Eve after my appt so I'm excited about that!

  • 14 weeks/lemon

Feeling tired and have to pee all the time but better as far as indigestion.

    Next appt is jan 8 (16 w)

Excited for some days off work and eating a lot! Have to get back on the healthy eating after the new year!
  • Weeks/Fruit: 14 weeks (6/21), size of a lemon

How are you feeling? Pretty good. Feeling a lot better then last week. Still tired and getting wicked headaches, but overall I am thankful at how easy I have had it.

Upcoming appointments? Not until 1/3. Hoping to hear from my doctor about the CF test results from hubby's blood work sooner rather than later though. My OB is out on maternity leave starting this past Friday, and I am hoping to not fall through the cracks at the office.

Questions? Nope, I am feeling good.

GTKY: I love Christmas Eve. We do a seven fish dinner with my parents and his, plus siblings and my dads side of the family (1 aunt, 2 cousins). I am so excited to see everyone together and eat yummy food. Also, tomorrow is both Pollyanna parties (his dads side my moms side) so I am excited to see everyone, especially my family since this is the first time I will have seen them since announcing. Also Christmas day, my aunt and uncle from Florida are flying in (I grew up at their house, moved a few years ago), and I am excited to see them and spend the holiday with them.

Feeling: decent. Headaches are awful and I wake up nauseous (which didn't happen at all first-tri) and even though I've lost weight you'd think I didn't because of how big my stomach is already. I've gotta get it through my head that I'm not getting fat lol.

Appointments: Dec 31 checkup. I'm meeting a new OB from the practice I go to (I have to see all 4 doctors at least once) so I'm hoping he's nice.

Questions: uhhhhhh none that I can think of.

GTKY: hubby and I did our Christmas Saturday, we just had a few small gifts for each other, Christmas Eve we'll go to his dad and step moms house for the Polish Christmas Eve dinner (which includes a lot of perogies my favorite, but no meat to my dismay). And then Christmas Day we're going to my parents and grandparents.

  • MegK82 -  Seven fish is a tradition of a menu my family cooks and celebrates on Christmas Eve. In fact, Christmas Eve is our bigger celebrations, with Christmas Day traditionally staying home with a simple roast. We serve seafood dishes as the main portion of the meal. Generally, a number are appetizers (tilapia salad, lobster ravioli, clams, shrimp, anchovy, caeser salad with sardines, oysters, etc) with just a few main portions(bakes salmon, fried white fish, mahi mahi, etc), we have mostly plain vegetables as a side, and there is one alternative to seafood (for my sister and cousin). We say if you eat seven fish it will bring you health for the next year. The neighbors I grew up with also did seven fish, but they followed rules including no meat or meat products, and only swimmy fish counted towards the good health.
  • Because I come from a large family (23 cousins), the aunts and uncles don't buy for all the nieces and nephews. Instead we hold a pollyanna for the kids, where they pick a the name of another child and buy a present. Right now we have 38 in the pollyanna. For the adults, we play mean santa. We bring a wrapped gift which goes under the tree, and draw a number. Starting with one, the person picks a present and unwraps it to show everyone. Number two has a choice of stealing your present (you pick again) or taking an unwrapped present from the tree. It continues. Normally the best number is last, because you can choose all the presents. With my husbands family, because so many people participate, we say that you can only steal a particular present three times, so there is a bit of a twist.
  • Better late than never....

Weeks/Fruit: 16/avocado...best fruit ever. Now I want some guac.

How are you feeling? Almost completely normal. Some RLP here and there and still a little tired some days but nothing unbearable.

Upcoming appointments? AFP blood draw Thursday, and A/S scheduled for January 20!

    Questions? None

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? If you don't celebrate Christmas, what do you do instead, and when is it celebrated? We are going on vacation next week, so I have to work everyday besides Christmas day. My husbands brother is visiting, my dad is coming to our house and we are having some other family friends over and I am looking forward to eating every delicious thing that I plan on cooking.

How are you feeling? Great. Not feeling very pregnant, which is bad for PGAL brain, but I'm glad to have all the holiday distractions to get me through the next few weeks until I have a bump, can feel movement, etc. We have also started researching doulas and childcare options, and signed up for a childbirth class (Hypnobabies) since they fill up really fast!

Upcoming appointments? Just had my second blood draw for the quad screen today, and A/S is Jan 13.

Questions? Anyone been cross-country skiing while pregnant? We usually go this time of year, and I'm debating whether it's a good idea (since I usually fall at least once, especially when we aren't on groomed trails). Just curious if others are going.

GTKY: Christmas is on Wednesday!! What are you most looking forward to? Going to Baja Mexico over New Years!

  • @joules235 -- I love it too! I actually like it more than downhill skiing since it's warmer and you don't have to deal with the crowds and lift tickets. Do you ski at altitude? We were talking about going on Christmas at DH's grandmother's cabin which is around 9,000 feet...I've heard different things about exercising at altitude when pregnant. Might be over-thinking it though :)
