It seems like a lot of ladies here use FRER to confirm a BFP after they get a squinter on a wondfo or other cheapie. I am 13 DPO and AF was due today (FF has test date of tomorrow). My last 2 LP were 10 and 11 so I was very hopeful this might be my cycle. I used a dollar store with SMU and got a BFN (although during the test, I swore I saw a line). Determined, I tested again with a dollar store, but holding it at least 5 hours and still negative. I really talked myself out of buying a FRER this afternoon (I have two CBE digitals with conception calculator but I didn't want to waste them. I believe the sensitivities for a FRER is 15, the dollar store is 25. Does anyone know the sensitivity of the CBE digital with conception calculator? I thought most digitals were 40 or 50 which seems crazy that they can claim to detect pregnancy 5 days before missed period. I know I'm not out until AF shows up and my temps are still up (although the wine from this weekend may be helping that). I guess I'm feeling discouraged since I see so many ladies getting squinters at 8, 9 or 10 DPO. I'm thinking since I'm "way at DPO 13" I must be out. Curious to know if there are many out there that couldn't get a + until at least 14 DPO.

    I'm sure someone has not gotten a BFP until 14 DPO, but that doesn't really matter to your specific situation. If you're that anxious, buy the FRER. They are very sensitive and can tell you way more than we can

    I guess I am anxious but the thrifty side of me is saying don't spend anymore money on tests and just be patient :)

    And would most agree that if you didn't get a positive on a dollar store then you definitely wouldn't turn a digital?

    We've all been there. I mean you'll have to test again eventually if AF doesn't arrive, we recommend testing
    once a week until 60 days passes or a BFP.

    I imagine your result on the dollar store test will be the same as the digital. If you have any more dollar store tests you could use one tomorrow morning with FMU and go from there? Like Janda said - once a week until AF, BFP, or more than 60 days has passed.

    Also, I'm pretty sure the newbie blog link has a chart regarding how many people get their BFP at 14DPO and how many false negatives there are. Check that out if you want to know statistically what your chances are.

    I would wait until AF is due & test the day after, truthfully. The longer you wait the better.

    Eta: I misread that that was for Janda. I just saw the "if you were in my situation" part. My bad.

    Did you test earlier than DPO 16? What brands did you use then and what brand was your BPF? I ignorantly bought the digitals when I should have bought FRER (I've had these tests for a few months waiting for a cycle that showed some promise). I once had a LP is 15 so this (13) isn't that unusual (although my cycles appear to be shortening as O was CD 10) A positive to take from all this is a longer LP which I am happy about. Thanks for the input!

    I would wait. While TTC with my first pregnancy I used dollar store tests, there were a few times that I didn't trust them so I wasted money on a FRER (always the same result).

    I did get a squinter with my BFP on a dollar store test and backed it up with a squinter on a FRER.

    My advice, Save your money, and wait it out.

    Thank you all for keeping it real! Lol I know statistically most would have a BFP by now :( I have one last dollar store test that I will use tomorrow morning. In the meantime I will return to my box wine that is now out of the box while I squeeze the life out if the bag :) thanks for talking the crazy out of me (for now) lol

    yes. I tested all that week

    I used first choice (dollar store) brand pink dye, wondfo & FRER one minute.

    I got my BFP on an FRER one minute & then the FRER Gold yes/no digital with the same urine sample

    Thank you for feedback! I was using pink dye first choice and they were obnoxiously stark white although I swear I saw a line as the test absorbed the urine. I am humbling unboarding the crazy train now :)

    I like to pee on things, BUT this is why I buy a 50 pack of cheap wondfos. I wouldn't use a digital until I had a decent line on a cheapie. I'd say wait at least til tomorrow.n

    Late to this, but, like Prim, I didn't get either of my BFPs until probably 15 DPO. The second one I did test the day before with FRER and got what could have been a line, but I waited until the next day to retest. I would not pee on a digi until I already had a pretty good FRER line.

    Just an update....BFN again on last dollar store test with FMU (just couldn't resist this morning). Still no AF and I feel confident in O date (confirmed with temping and CBE digital OPK). DPO 14 today (15 is my documented longest so I'm mentally preparing for AF :(

    You aren't out until your period shows up. Also, the 2WW threads are usually where you can find ladies in the same boat as you. It's full of all kinds of great support. Posted daily, you can find it on the front page. :)
