Hey ladies it's been so long since I've been on this board! DS is now 6 mos old and I started sleep training him beginning of the week and by day 3 he's been sleeping 12 hrs straight at night and 2 two hour naps no crying. I can't believe it haha. Anyway with Christmas coming up DH wanted to know if I can put DS to sleep at his moms at bedtime so we don't have to leave early. I'm so nervous to mess with his sleep schedule while it's so new and he's doing so well. His mom only lives 10 min away. I was thinking of bring him home to bed and having my mom stay at our house once he's asleep and I'll go back to my MIL. Is this fair or should I make DH happy and put DS to bed at his moms and hope the transfer goes well... Thanks so much for the advice. Wondering what ya'll are doing.

If your LO adjusted well to the new sleep training so quickly, even if he doesn't sleep well for a night or two, you'll probably be able to adjust back fairly easily.
Dinner, relaxing play time (playing with toy on couch), bath, nurse, book, sing a couple lullabies and bed with paci. First night he cried. I went in every 5 Mins to give his paci and rub his head and give him a kiss. It was so hard but he fell asleep within 20 mins. Woke up 10:30 and I did the same process of paci and rubbing head 5min - 5min - 8min - 10min and slept til 5:30am. I got him out of bed at that time and started our day. (Tired mama!)
Second day he cried for 5 min and I went up to reassure him and fell asleep almost right after I walked out. Yay! Slept til 12:30am. Did 5 mins - 8min - 12min. Asleep till 7:30am
Third day fell asleep without crying!!! And slept 12 hrs straight. Woke up 7:45am.
Now no crying ever and STTN it's our 5th day.
For naps I nurse and then book and bed in crib. First 2 days he cried at nap time but fell asleep within 10 mins and after that no crying at all just right to bed - he sometimes rolls around and plays a bit before he falls off. For nap schedule we do 2 hours after he woke up in the am. He'll sleep between 1.5-3 hrs. And another nap around 2/2:30pm for 1-2hrs. And bedtime is between 7-8pm.
He is the happiest baby all day long now. I will swear by this!!!! Good luck!
If your baby is really sleeping 12 hours a night and you are not stating the night, then don't put him to bed there...or deal with one night of a wakeful baby and then train him to sleep again...set yourself up for success. Also don't post shit like this out of the blue.
