XP- 3 Days at Disney- 4 Parks

I posted this on the preschool board already, but wanted to post here to gather more opinions.

We are going to Disney in January.  We will have 3 days to visit the park.  LO will be 3 1/2 when we go, and we can't decide which park to skip if we decide not to do the park hopper pass.   Obviously the Magic Kingdom will get a day, but the rest, I'm not sure.

So, what park would you skip if you could only do 3 parks?

Due to your child's age, I'd skip Epcot.

I was going to suggest skipping Epcot too.  It's been a long time since I was at DW, and I was 18 and child free.  However, I remember feeling like Epcot wasn't all that impressive.  Maybe it's improved, but there wasn't that much to see there that was comparable to all the other stuff we saw at the other parks.

Think about what your kid likes, look at the shows and rides and decide. I would not switched parks with a little kid, too time consuming. And honestly I would not listen to others about what park, listen to why and then decide for yourself. My kids have always loved Epcot, it has always been DSs favorite park, he loves Living with the Land more than any other Disney ride and he loves the countries. DD likes it too. My kids did not like Animal Kingdom at that age, they thought Lion King was boring, the safari was nice but not amazing for them and we are not big zoo people. Hollywood studios had a few things for the kids but not too much for my kids' interests. We did lung with the characters and they loved it, Disney Junior is a nice show, we did they Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground which was ok and Toy Story ride is great. But a waste of a day to only do that.

You could do one park in the morning and then another in the afternoon/evening.  Some parks really don't have much to see or do for certain ages so 2 parks in one day is absolutely do-able. For us personally Animal Kingdom was not a park we could stay for a whole day, just not enough to do for us to last a whole day there,  so we did AK in the morning and then after lunch we went to another park.

If you only wanted to do one park per day I would skip Epcot.

Although we went to DW last fall and Animal Kingdom is pretty small and we did that in half a day

Skip Epcot. Animal kingdom is half day. We just got back and stayed at AK a half day. My kids are finally getting to the point where they love Epcot. mK is a 2day park for us. We love HS but some do not.

Personally I would do 2 days at MK and one day at Epcot. We took my DD at 4 and thought there was tons for her to do at Epcot vs AK or HS. If you get park hoppers then you could do a morning at AK and after lunch at Epcot. Like others have said everyone has different tastes so I would pick whatever sounds most interesting to your family.

I'd do 2 days Magic Kingdom and 1 day Animal Kingdom;  you don't want to overwhelm.  We went in Sept with a 3.5 yo and a 5.5 yo--after 7 hrs at Disney they wanted to go back to the hotel/swim;  the next day was better they did 8 or 9 hours.

I think we are going to skip Animal Kingdom- I looked at the refurb list for January and The Lion King show  and Camp Mickey and Minnie is going to be closed.  And honestly we have pretty awesome zoo's here, where we have seen and fed girraffes and zebras and what not here.

I have been to Epcot so I know what to expect.   So, as of right now we will do in this order- MK, HS and Epcot.

No park hoppers at this point, but if we decided to buy them while we are there we can.

I can't believe we go in less then a month!
