Sex questions, some might be TMI!

So I finally !! Had sex since we conceived. Won't go into too may details but it was different and I knew that. My question really is this...

So again maybe TMI. But where else am I going to ask this question.

My husband said everything was great but to me I kinda felt dry. He reassured me it was nothing of the sort. I even felt sort of raw after. Anyone else have this happen. I thought of using some help down there but if he says its "extra wet" already is it just me?

  • I get the same way while pregnant. We just use some lubricant and are good to go

  • I felt the same way too which is weird because normally its the opposite.  I thought with all the extra discharge it would be great, but it is not.  Completely different!

  • If you feel dry, I would use lube.

  • I have my days. Some days I'm extra wet and others we need lube. There is no consistency.

  • Coconut oil!! Best natural lubricant, and smells absolutely wonderful!
  • The pregnancy hormones make me super wet but I have this issue when not pregnant. Use lube if uncomfortable during intercourse. It should be fun for both of you!
  • Next time don't be afraid to see u want lube! U wanna be able to enjoy it too since it's not an often occurrence, right?! I tend to go back and forth randomly between being dry and wet.. So it's common!
  • I've had this problem a few times too. Like everyone else said, just use some lube.

  • I feel dry every time we have sex, despite all the extra discharge! We just grab the lube and we're good to go. I had to reassure H that the dryness is just the hormones and not him!

  • Oh, I'm glad you said this.  We *also* just had sex (a few times) since getting pregnant.  (I had a miscarriage Oct2012 and thus was super nervous about having sex in the 1st trimester).  I was really quite horny but surprised that it took me a while to get wet, and it *definitely* felt raw when he penetrated.  I hadn't even thought about lube (no idea why I didn't) but hopefully that'll help . . . .

  • Some people get really horny but I feel the total opposite. Sometimes I would tell my husband that I am not feeling well so he won't touch me. About once a week I let him have it. I used to get super wet (regardless if I want it or not) but now it's kind of dry most of time... and yes it can hurt too! I feel embrassed to say anything...
  • Thanks ladies. I almost stopped to grab it but thought maybe it was just me thinking too much. I have to admit even though I've read everything I could find on sex while pregnant I was still nervous. I'm just scared of everything though. Even after I asked him if he was worried he is chill but I finally confessed up.

Next time it's lube for sure. We also have it right next to the bed. Gonna have to get some drawers now that we will have kidos. Lol.

OMG I have to try this.  I wonder if it will smell like having sex on a beach ;)

  • I second coconut oil for lube. It's amazing, works wonders, smells great and doesn't cause irritation or yeast. (Actually can fight yeast build up!)
I'm sorry I recommend coconut oil for so much. But it's pretty rad
