Road trip at 6 months?

To those of you who have done this pregnancy thing before...am I insane to plan a road trip at 6 mos? We want to visit family in VA, NC, and FL so flying isn't really the best way to do it. The longest leg of the trip will be 12 hours (VA to FL) and DH a suggested breaking this up and stopping overnight somewhere. I'm not a fan of riding in the car in general, so I'm wondering if this is a ridiculous plan.

    Thanks ladies! I guess I will just suck it up and go. I can always curl up in the back seat I guess lol.

    I actually looked into that, because it would be the best. Unfortunately the car would cost us almost $1000 with the extra mileage. On top of two on plane tickets, that would just be too much. I think we are planning in stopping in NC on the way back, so at least that would break it up a little.

    Oh yes DH has already promised we can stop as often as I need to. 

    I got rid of that flag, right? Stupid fingers.

    When I was pregnant with DS I lived 500 miles away from my parents and the last trip I made down there before I had him my ankles were GINORMOUS...so just make sure you make plenty of stops and walk around for a while with each stop.
