WAHMs come in

How do you do it? I'm 98% sure I'm getting an opportunity to WAH which was my hope and plan and now that it's happening, I'm afraid I won't be able to manage. I thought I'd find a mothers helper to watch LO while I'm home working (family is not an option) but now I'm afraid it won't work or I won't find someone. Any tips on how y'all manage it would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I've been mommy for so long, I've forgotten how to do anything else.

    I work from home right now and have a babysitter come while I am working. Otherwise I would never get anything done! I love working from home but it can be very distracting even with the babysitter there.

    DS goes to daycare while I'm working. I had to keep him home when he wasn't feeling well, and got nothing done that day. You'll definitely need help/someone to watch lo

    I have a home office but lo goes to daycare. I wouldn't get anything done if she stayed home.

    I go back to work in a couple weeks and work from home. We are hiring someone to be at the house to watch him while I'm working. Company policy is that you can't be the sole caregiver while working at home.

    At least have someone come in a couple days a week if not everyday. It's hard. Start trying out different people before you go to work so you can see how the interaction is. You are probably not going to have a normal "9-5" work day... Just know you'll probably work a very scattered work day

    Thanks ladies. Tips on where to find caregivers? Care.com? Word of mouth? Other sources? I'm so glad we will be financially safe again but so nervous about screwing this up.

    If you can find a company that does all the background checks for you, I would go with them. I was nervous about doing care.com even though I have heard success stories. The service I use is called Moms Best Friend and we love our nanny.
