That sucks. We had to do a round of lay offs as well...actually, we've been doing them for the past two weeks now. This is the worst part of my job. It really sucks.

Ugh, that sucks. I know that for a lot of companies, December is cost cutting time because of the end of the fiscal year, but I really hate the timing.

I'm glad you're safe. EW is right though -- I hate the timing. I was laid off right before the holidays once with the excuse "We wanted to do it now so that you don't have a debt to pay down from holiday gifts". What a shitty excuse!

That is LAME. I've never understood why they can't wait a week or so...it's not going to make that big of a difference financially. Sucky.
