Do you believe in signs?

I usually believe in signs when good things or bad things are about to happen. I know when I was a September Sunflower I got really excited to see a sunflower popped up in the middle of my empty flower bed. I thought it was a good sign.

Now I'm wondering if I'm getting bad signs.. my RE wasn't sure if my follicle was a cyst or not for a full week and he called it a leftover (who really wants a leftover?), the sperm got lost in shipping, and now the nurse left a message on DH's voicemail with the wrong trigger date.

I have been busy putting out all of these fires- I'm exhausted- but luckily all of them have been resolved.. So are these bad signs? Maybe a don't give up sign?

I keep saying I have little faith in this cycle, but I do believe in Christmas Miracles.. still not sure what to make of all of this..

I definitely read into everything... but so far it hasn't panned out. Either way, I'm not giving up and know you won't either!! Miracles happen everyday. I hope yours is next.

I totally believe/read signs. I think that if something goes wrong with a cycle the better the outcome. Are you a fan of sex in the city? They tell Charlotte on her wedding day (as things are falling apart) that the worse the wedding the better the marriage... Same principle!! I really think this is your cycle girlie!!

I'd read it as a good sign.

Everything from my last cycle was "wrong" from day one including meds not arriving, low baseline follicle counts, elevated E2 and AF that kept playing teasing on her arrival date, then fewer developing follicles then expected and nearly canceling due to being too slow to mature. I drove myself into insomnia stressing about that cycle.

I'd say if things come together (smoothly or not) keep hope!!

I have often heard of the "worst" cycles (w/ the most f-ups) ironically being the ones that result in BFPs. So don't give up! Maybe this is it for you...

I definitely believe in signs, and I totally read into everything during my cycle. It may or may not have lead to disappointment when it was all cancelled. But they say that a positive mindset can really help with the IVF process, so I say you read into signs all you want if it makes you mentally feel good.

*siggy warning I think it's all about patience and the timing of when it's supposed to happen. This summer my re had to have emergency surgery and my surgery got pushed back over a month:( but it ended up being done by the re I had originally wanted to see! Then the new re accidentally punctured my uterus 1 in 1,000. However, I had opted out of the lap and he had to do this because of the tear and he found more to fix. Keep pressing on and remain strong;)

@Poohniki, signs or no signs, I really hope that you get your Christmas miracle. I don't know if I could manage with all that craziness. I think I would have lost it at the lost DS.

I think I did lose it. I must have changed my mind about what to do 100 times. It's all out of my hands now. Trying to relax and focus on the positive.

If I believed in signs COMPLETELY, I'd have given up by now. LOL The sign to buy a special christmas ornament was positive one...came out of nowhere as I had been thinking of how to remember my embryos.

As for putting out fires and taking care of awful scenarios....I think my siggy speaks for itself. =( We are STILL waiting for the ID number for the new insurance. Just two days ago, I made sure to talk with DH about going through all of these hurdles and how it dampens my spirit to keep going. We are still going to start Lupron the day after Christmas and will be out seeing my MIL and my DH's sister's family. I'll need to bring the meds with me and do so at their home. Just not what I wanted to do as we normally have the laptop right next to us when we do the injections and review directions.

I have to believe this WILL be our time, as it in all seriousness this IS our last IVF cycle and last chance to begin a family. All of the signs have pointed against us since we started IF treatments and the timing could never be worse with vacations, work, etc. I am looking to control what I can and then hopefully have some resolution....make a nursery out of one of our bedrooms or a permanent sewing room. We have a 4 bedroom home and to never fill any of them will be very sad. Just need to keep believing that the drs. can help make this happen for us.
