Where are my Weight Check In Ladies?

Sooo... we didn't check in on Wednesday, so does anyone want to do it now?

1.) What did you do this last week to help you meet fitness / health / weight loss goals?
2.) How did you do? (Measuring your progress by weight, pants size, gained physical abilities, etc.)
3.) What is your goal for next week?
4.) How will you go about accomplishing that goal?
5.) What do you count as your success this week?
6.) What do you count as an area you need to improve this week?

If no one wants to play, that's cool. :)

Re: Where are my Weight Check In Ladies?

  • 1.) What did you do this last week to help you meet fitness / health / weight loss goals? I tracked most days using the Weight Watchers online site. There were some meals I missed. I also did a 3 hour riding lesson on Sunday and have been taking DD1 and her pony on walks. I was sick this week so beyond the riding lesson I took it a little easy.
2.) How did you do? (Measuring your progress by weight, pants size, gained physical abilities, etc.) I lost 6lbs... but it really isn't impressive when I had tummy trouble all week.
3.) What is your goal for next week? My goal for next week is to be better about tracking on Weight Watchers... but I honestly know that is going to be extremely hard with the holidays, but I have the best of intentions.
4.) How will you go about accomplishing that goal? When my Aunt is here we are going to work on getting the junk out of my cabinets and putting together some freezer meals that are "clean" and veggie heavy.
5.) What do you count as your success this week? I did eat almost entirely homemade food. That's always a better choice than junk food. :)
6.) What do you count as an area you need to improve this week? I need to make sure I sit down and track. I also need to make sure I have more fresh fruit in the house. DD1 munches through all the grapes, apples, bananas - everything! and it seems like all the fruit is gone before my next grocery store trip. I just need to remember she is a fruit nut and buy 2x as much.

  • Great work!!

I ate chips and a Big Mac. Wah.
  • 1.) What did you do this last week to help you meet fitness / health / weight loss goals?
Nothing. I suck. I didn't even go for a walk around the mall like I planned to.

2.) How did you do? (Measuring your progress by weight, pants size, gained physical abilities, etc.)
I shrunk a little, which is nothing short of a miracle.

3.) What is your goal for next week?
    Try not to suck.

4.) How will you go about accomplishing that goal?
My theory is that with the ILs here I'll be so stressed out I won't be able to eat. That being said usually the opposite happens.

5.) What do you count as your success this week?
I would have said not eating junk, but I caved and had Burger King yesterday. Oh, I didn't get more fat, that's pretty cool.

6.) What do you count as an area you need to improve this week?
Not being a fatty would be an awesome improvement.

  • 1.) What did you do this last week to help you meet fitness / health / weight loss goals?
I tracked most of my Points with WW.

2.) How did you do? (Measuring your progress by weight, pants size, gained physical abilities, etc.) Lost 0.8 pounds.

3.) What is your goal for next week? To at least maintain. With the crazy holidays and parties and bottles of wine being passed around, it will be hard.

4.) How will you go about accomplishing that goal? No idea!

5.) What do you count as your success this week? Just attending WW when I could be doing a million other things!

6.) What do you count as an area you need to improve this week? Not drinking my calories.

  • @bellaoso thank you for posting!! Confession: I decided to wait until Jan 1 and then go balls to the wall. Therefore, I have done anything about my weight except feel like shit about it once the doctor told me my BMI now puts me in the "obese" category.. So.. That was fun. Long story short, I'm having a pity party until the end of the month and then I'm right there with you!!

Kudos to you ladies making it happen!!! You're my motivation!! Don't give up!!!

  • Ok, to add to my lame contribution - I started juicing last week. I'm not doing anything crazy like fasting but it helps me get all my veggies and I will often juice instead of breakfast.

My downfall, like many others, is night time. I'm so tired and spent and have zero will power left that food literally is the only thing that excites me, so out comes the crap...chips, chocolate, whatever. I need to make some changes to my evening routine so I don't just sit in front of the tv and eat.

    any tips?
  • Hey ladies!

I support anyone who wants to take the holidays "off." :) I'm going to take them "part time off" because I suspect I'm one of the larger mommas in this check in.  I have had 2 babies very close together while I know it isn't true for everyone with 2 u 2, I certainly packed on the chubber pounds. :)

I'll keep posting the check-ins (or anyone else can,) and feel free to jump in if you feel like it or not. Not pressure.

I sincerely doubt that you are bigger than me. I have around 70-80 lbs to lose. Luckily (if you can call it lucky) my fat is distributed well, so I don't look that big. Maybe someday I'll get super rich and be able to afford lipo.

Moral of the story: when you're feeling down on yourself because of your weight, take a moment and think "it could be worse, I could be Zever."

  • Ok I will start checking in here, that way I will be accountable. I have about 7 lbs to go till my pp weight( I gained 45) but would like to be down 12. That is my goal. Good luck ladies!

    @Zever000

Yay! We are chubber sisters! :)
To get to my goal weight I need to lose 70 - 80 lbs as well. :) I like to think my fat is distributed well too. I saw myself in the mirror this morning and thought, "Hell, I actually look pretty decent naked. If I didn't have to put those pesky clothes on then I would alright."

Sometimes I think I would like to be on that "Extreme Weight Loss" show with that Chris guy who comes to your house and gives you a work out plan, an meal plan, etc. and a year of his counseling to get it done, but I'm not quite big enough for that. Then I see the things on magazines that are like, "I lost 40 lbs! Check out my tips for major weight loss!" and I'm like, "Crap! I have to lose 2x that!" LOL!

We are middle fat! No one wants to put us on a reality show like Biggest Loser, because we are not fat enough, but we are too fat for magazine diets. It's a weird place to be.

"Middle fat" I like that. I'll mention it to my doctor next time he asks how I feel about my weight.

I totally put on a pair of spanks the other day and was like "Look H! I'm skinny again!". Then I stopped sucking in my stomach... yea I can still look 7 months pregnant if I tried. It's depressing.

  • @bellaoso @zever000 I would like to join your "middle fat" club please.

The year before my BFP I decided enough was enough and started working out a lot & eating healthy...I lost 60 lbs. then we started fertility treatments and I gained 30 of it back in 4 months, wtf.
Fast forward through pregnancy and add another 30 extra pounds, I'm right back where I started.
My end goal is to drop 80 lbs. good news is I know it can be done since I was over half way there!

Bad news is I've already surrendered to the holidays. I'll be one of the masses making healthy New Years resolutions. I've also felt like its difficult to work out & cut calories while BFing. (An excuse, I know. But I stress about ruining my supply)
  • @LokiLahve the more the merrier. I tried dieting and my supply took a hit. After the holidays my plan is not to "diet" but just eat better. And maybe when she's eating solids and can be away from me for longer than an hour I'll do some actual working out.

I'm super impressed with you losing that much before! I lost 30lbs on WW before getting pregnant, then gained it all back (and then some) when we started TTC. Ah, well. Maybe it'll be different with a support system like this.

  • @LokiLahve and @Zever000 -

Yay! Maybe we will add an extra check in element for us "middle fat" girls. :) I love it!

    :)

We shall call you limbo fat.
You're not one who is just trying to drop those last pesky pounds, but not middle fat either...you're in limbo. My prayers are with you that you go toward the pesky pounds rather than the middle fat.
(And I really hope you can find humor in the above ;) )

I WISH I only had 40 pounds to lose. I'm not sure if we can be friends anymore...
    ;)

@NikkiD522 - If you wanna be middle fat with me I'm down with it. I feel like I have a huge amount of weight to lose, but not so much I need a reality TV show. :) If your 40 lbs feels epic but doable to you - welcome to team middle fat!

@lokilahve I accept limbo fat and shall pray you and @bellaoso and even @zever000 - even though she is questioning our friendship .. ;-) - all head over to limbo fat from middle fat soon!!!

Ladies- I guess I fall into the large fat group. I have lost about 45 lbs from my heaviest at 9months (gained 23 pregnant). But, in order to be considered a healthier weight for my height, I've got atleast another 60 to go... I didn't realize how fat I was! Onward I go!!

Ps, I attribute my weight loss so far to BF and eating a paleo diet!

Edit- I also struggle at night time for some reason. I wonder why it's so hard at night for us? And, @zever00 my supply also took a HuGE hit when I started dieting. So far it seems to have rebounded.

Good luck this week ladies, ESP those of us dealing with monster in laws!
