We will be checking out and finishing up our staycation. Then we are heading to a service (at a school chapel where my mom works/we all went to school) in the afternoon where my whole family is doing a reading. Then heading home to do a family dinner. Finish warping any last minute gifts, listen to Christmas music, drink some wine, watch a movie or to then wait for Santa!!!
We are hanging out at home then going to a friend's fun dressy party around 4. When we get home we'll put the baby to bed and sit up drinking punch de creme (Caribbean eggnog) while listening to Christmas music and waiting for Santa .
I'm Italian so we do the feast of the 7 fishes (Festa dei sette pesci), though it's no longer 7 fishes in my family. We used to do a true 7, then a 9 fish dinner, but now we scaled it back and maybe get 5 down. I look forward to it every year and I hope that we go back to 7 once he gets older.
We used to cook it all at home too but now we go out to a restaurant. I'd like to eventually bring it back to one of our houses.
Edit to add: we get home late and usually open presents either right then and there, or the next morning. We try to fit church in at some point, but our new church has a 7:30 mass so we we won't make it to that one.
DH is working so I'm planning on baking cookies for Santa with DS1, then taking the boys to McDonalds to burn off some energy at the play place. We'll probably watch a movie that afternoon. Once DH gets home we will each open 1 present which is new pajamas and then we have a picnic in the living room and eat a Hickory Farms gift pack while watching National Lampoon. We do that every year. I'd like to take a drive and see the lights. Once we get home I'll read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and put the boys to bed. Then egg nog and rum for me and DH!

@phishgirl29, we do the same! Hang in there. Our Christmas Eve fizzled for a few years after my grandma's health declined, but now my aunt has been doing it regularly. I can't wait to eat all the fish!!
We get dressed up a bit fancy and go to an early mass, head to my aunt and uncle's where we eat, drink (not me this year, boo), and open presents. Back in the day we used to go to midnight mass. I'm not looking to bring that tradition back. I like the earlier service.
I have my annual at my OBGYN. Yeah, you heard me right, on Christmas Eve. I can't believe they are open then. I asked for an appointment over Christmas break, and this is what they gave me. Woohoo, a Pap smear and an internal. Merry Christmas to me!
Also, we will go to my mother's house that evening to visit with some family.
I am getting a manicure in the morning, and then we are going to my FIL's later in the afternoon. DH and I go to church regularly, however my in laws do not go at all. I miss going to the Christmas Eve service, we haven't been able to go in a few years now. I am hoping we will do Christmas Eve with my family next year so we can go.
We ride the pink pig at 11 at our local Macys. At 2 we catch the matinee of the Nutcracker. We usually have hibachi after that lol. By 6 we are home. Then we open one present (Christmas pj's) bake cookies, watch a Christmas movie, and off to be they will go. Then the magic happens! ">
We are doing Christmas Eve dinner at our house (my husband is an amazing cook, thank goodness) with my inlaws. Then we are going to church with them. It's the first year we don't have to drive to my mom's to stay overnight. They recently moved to our neighborhood. So I am really looking forward to waking up in our own house Christmas morning!
We are doing a christmas dinner with my side of the family (at our house -yikes). We hope everyone will be gone at a decent time so we can spend time as a family and open our Christmas Eve presents (pjs and 'twas the night before christmas book to read).
In the morning is DD 6 mo appointment. The brunch with my family at Noon. Dinner with the inlaws at 4. After that DD will open one package which will be Christmas Jammie's and a Christmas story. This is something I want to do every year. After that will be bath story and bed. Add Christmas music and hot cocoa throughout the day.
