Evaporation line?

Hi ladies,

6dp3dt. I tested yesterday mid-day to confirm trigger was out of my system. Stark white as expected. And this morning I planned on doing the poas thing each morning up to my beta to see if I get any results. I won't be upset with bdubs because I know I am not out till beta.

Anyway, I wanted to start with fmu. But I woke up at 3 am and decided to do it then. I am using the dollar store brand. I waited a couple minutes, didn't see anything and went to bed. At 6 I got up, glanced at it and there was a faint pink line.

I immediately did a new test but even after 2 hours it was stark white.

In all my peeing glory, I have not ever had an evaporation line. Do evaporation lines mean anything to us? Should I dismiss this and put it out of my mind until tomorrow's?

I might be wrong but I thought evap lines typically weren't pink? I've never had one so I don't know first hand. It seems highly feasible that you're pregnant but the second test wouldn't register it because you had only held your pee for about 3 hours. I would test again tomorrow with FMU but if you can't wait, try to limit your liquids and hold your pee for longer than before. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Ok so here's what happened to me. I did the exact same thing (because of the lovely pee pushers on this board, although I had been set on waiting for Beta)

8DPO- Neg, NO TRIGGER LEFT- celebrate- 1 last acupuncture session in the afternoon before TG.

9DPO- Thanksgiving day, and technically this is the EARLIEST point you can actually start testing but obviously results can be obscure this early. So I did in fact get not 1 but TWO positives on this day, 1 internet cheapie, and 1 FRER, both had visible lines, H confirmed easily.

10DPO I tested once again with a cheapie, ready to confirm with a digi, and got a BFN. Then BFN on subsequent days, this is also the day my "symptoms" from the trigger shot officially disappeared.

I am suspecting since my trigger was gone on 8DPO, the acupuncture the night before possibly "pulled" a small bit of the hormone out and cause the BFPs the following morning.

This was probably the hardest part of the entire cycle, thinking it had worked, being so deliriously exciting ON Thanksgiving when I was already spending the day with my family, then finding out the tests were WRONG.

So, all that being said- I really hope this is definitely NOT the case for you, BUT it is too effing early to determine anything at all. I wouldn't trust a test until around 11-12DPO when there are absolutely no doubts.

If you triggered, it can last in your system for up to 14 days, so I would wait until you are actually late to test. I have had pee tests look like this at 9-11dpo and it still be a bfn

The trigger is the devil. I've peed on plenty of $Tree tests and they will pick up a trigger for me until 11/12dpo. I also tested this past cycle (no meds = no trigger) and got pink evaps. So although I sincerely hope that's not the case for you, I say ignore today's and keep poas. If they're getting progressively darker you know it's the real deal. Good luck!

Since I am a pee pusher... I say ignore it and move on and POAS tomorrow. I think that is why they tell you to look at it in 5 minutes or whatever, because the longer it sits, the more a 'fake' line comes up.

I tested like crazy and kept getting faint pink lines that I thought were evaps but took a digital on a whim and got a positive. Sadly, the pregnancy was chemical.

Only time will tell, I'm sorry.

I would wait longer. I know people like the cheapies but, I think I really am loyal to First response and don't plan on buying a batch of cheapies again.

Yeah

I know the reality of the odds but it is my first Ivf and I am hopeful. I spent 5 bucks on 5 tests and that's what I have till beta!

I won't feeling crushing despair until the beta because I am very much focusing on positive vibes.

I guess we will see what happens!!

Hello, Mrs. Castillo!

Thank you for checking on me. Yesterday morning I used a FRER and had a faint line. Used a FRER this morning and the line was a little darker. I hope that the trigger is fully gone and it isn't a chemical.

This is the only shot my husband and I have. We are 100% out of pocket and I had no eggs to freeze. So if this doesn't work I have to make that mental adjustment and he and I have to set this dream aside.

He was adopted and has no biological family. This is as much his dream as mine.

I suppose I am just hoping
