Prolapse

Has anyone experienced vaginal prolapse after child birth? Did it go away doing kegel exercises? Did you have to have surgery? Any feedback appreciated.

  • I had uterine prolapse during my pregnancy and thought it returned two weeks after giving birth but the uterus is all good. Now I have rectocle. Yep, rectal buldge in my vag. It sucks!!! No words of wisdom just comiserating with you.
  • I don't know what I have. Trying to get into a dr appt before leaving for the holiday. If I find out anything I'll be sure to update. Right now I'm going off of dr google and just scaring myself :)
  • I've heard that specialized pt can help resolve prolapse.

  • My OB wasn't very reassuring, lol....if your nursing I've read it can get better once you are done. It sucks, my YDS is over 17 lbs and just carrying him around makes it so bad.

  • So I went to urgent care this morning and I do not have prolapse. She said my uterus, bladder and rectum are all in tact it's just my vaginal walls. She said once I'm done breast feeding it may get better but it won't get worse. I feel better.

I'm just a lurker but I had a bladder prolapse and I found this website and bought the DVD. It's made a huge difference for me so far and I haven't even done the full course. The woman is a physical therapist and used to have a prolapse, herself. https://www.hab-it.com
Sorry if it's not clicky!! :::goes back to lurking::: :)
  • I second the hab-it web site. Tasha is amazing. I had a bladder prolapse after my second. I had my 4th and the prolapse is no worse and I credit that to doing the hab-it DVD and Tasha's advanced core work out. I know how terribly depressing and discouraging this can be. But become educated, avoid constipation, make sure your vitamin D levels are high, so the DVD and be patient. Our bodies are amazing and you will get better!!
