What other boards do you actively participate on here ? My only other active board is working moms which had been very resourceful but I have to say you ladies are much friendlier !
Right now you will find me on August 14 BMB and first trimester. Sometimes I go onto PGAL, and PAL, as well as babies 9-12. But I find the pregnancy boards pretty intense some days.
Like Rosebean, I'm on the Aug 14 board, but I also visit the 2u2 and lurk on the multiple board (gear ideas) and the Nurseries and baby gear. I've also visited the Cloth Diaper board and the Homeschooling board.
This is my home. I'm mostly just on this board. Occasionally I will lurk on the breastfeeding, 9-12month, and Jan2013 (just to see what babies a month older are getting into there lol). Oh, sometimes I'll lurk on the AP board also.
9-12, baby names, AP, sometimes I post on parenting, homeschool, natural birth or breastfeeding (I lurk there for the extending BF check in to spy on what is ahead). I've posted on BOTB before but not lately. Also, I'm fairly active on March '13 since DD was so late.
ETA: I forgot about the Eco friendly family. That board can be helpful.
I used to be on several boards some of the time until they changed the format. Now I find it a pain to find other boards unless they're bookmarked, so I just stay on this one. I used to participate regularly on TTGP until I got this BFP and otherwise I posted occasionally on Names, International Bumpies, May11 (my BMB with DD1), VBAC (although that stopped with DD2's birth), c/s, 2u2, TTCAL, PGAL, High Risk, Preemies... I realize now that I have been on a lot of boards. I did go over and lurk on TTGP today for the first time in a long time, though.
BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
BFP2: 3/18/12, blighted ovum, natural m/c @ 7w4d BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence
On 9-12 months, someone told me to f-off even tho I said nothing offensive. On SAHMs, I said, "I'm surprised your dad isn't happy that you didn't have a wedding because you certainly saved a lot of money" and everyone was like, "get off this board, we don't want crazy b... here," etc. I posted a question about if Wondfos could give false positives, and they told me to get off the board if I wasn't actively trying to conceive and it I was trying, then I had to post an intro first or I wasn't welcome. But I feel like it is a cold place over there in general. I do post occasionally on Jan and Dec boards because I read them to look ahead, and I like those, although there's not exactly the same kind of love there is on this board, although some people are close. I post on preemies, and that is certainly a supportive place, although not super active and kind of focused on NICU issues. I have lurked on special needs, although I feel it is offensive perhaps to post there if you don't have a special needs child, and although we have some preemie issues, we don't really have the issues many there face at this time. Overall, this board is nicest and I hope we continue to stay active.
I feel like a lot of other boards are either not very active or they are super cliquish. I don't really fit into their cliques. Any time I as a question on the cloth diapering board, I Erl like I get one or two useful helpful replied and then a lot of "you're not welcome in our group" discussions. I live you ladies, and haven't really formed an opinion on the Aug 14 bmb mostly because this early, we are dealing with a lot of pregnancy losses so it's hard to be excited and want to have fun.
@verovladimir It hadn't been added to the root menus. I have to go to any of the bump specially groups, like attachment parenting, then click on the Specially link at the top so it gives the super long list of specially groups. Then it show up.
