I've learned that the best way to get your kid to do something is to complain about it on the internet.
He's been STTN for the past three nights. Not only that, but Prince Charming is in his crib!!!!!!
Here's what we did. For about two weeks prior, I would put him in his crib until his first wake up (20-45 minutes) and let him figure it out by crying (but I never let it get to the point where he was hysterical) for about another 20-30 minutes. I usually gave up at that point and put him in his RnP but kept it in his room. I slept on the small couch we have in there next to him. He would wake up about 2-4 times and he would nurse each time.
About a week ago, we would do the same thing, but I cut out his MOTN feeding down to 2. His problem was that he couldn't figure out how to relax his neck and unlock his elbows to fall asleep on his tummy. He would cry and I would comfort him but we usually ended up in the RnP after an hour or two.
Then I wrote the post on here asking for a reset button. That night, I put him down in the crib, he rolled over, fussed for about 20 minutes and woke up 7 hours later!! I thought I was a fluke, but it's happened going on 4 nights now. I can't believe it. Now my only issue is that I keep going into his room 2-3 times a night to make sure he can breathe because it looks like he's face down on the mattress. He sleeps so still it's scary. Do any other mommy's have this issue? Even with the video monitor I can't see him breathe all the time. Really freaks me out. Thanks for all your support!
